Love!
I absolutely loved this product. It turned out looking beautiful. The only thing I would suggest to buyers is to make sure that you press down pretty hard. It's relatively hard when you roll it out and so it isn't particularly easy to get a print. You don't have to jam their hand into it, but just apply pressure to each finger and they'll sink slowly. I had to redo it three times because I was being too delicate. And trust me, you'd rather get it done the first time than listen to your baby cry as you get ready to go a third time.Anyways, it dries into a foam that's actually easier to squish than when it's first rolled out, however, it'll flatten back out instantly. There is plenty of paint (I filled in two handprints and wrote on the ornaments with half the paint left over). And there's absolutely no mess. It doesn't leave any kind of residue on the baby's hand (I still wiped his hand down after each go).Overall, I loved it and will probably be ordering this again. Definitely recommend.

Short answer yes with an if, long answer no, with a but.
I recently did this little kit, and here's what I thought. You get two packages of the impression material, a roller, a giant cookie cutter, two tubes of paint, and a paintbrush. Oh, and a straw. The cookie cutter is only good if you are going to be using both packages of the "clay" together - I use the quotes because it really isn't clay, it is more a foam modeling material.Roll out the foam, get it to a size you like, get the kid to make an impression (wrangle a 3 month old to open her grubby little paws so you can mash it into the foam) and then look at it. Not bad. Problem is, now you have to cut it out. The one big cookie cutter only works for a gigantic impression -perhaps the childs whole body, or a booty impression. This wasn't that kinda ornament, so I didn't have something to cut it out with. Enter a drinking glass. Mash around impression, no problem. Now how in the heck do I get it back out of this glass without ruining it. Take 2.Argue with child, mashout hand, give kisses to salve the imaginary indignation of doing this twice. What do I cut it out with? Cookie cutter to the rescue. It looks like crap, but its what I had, and Crimmas is comin'. All I had was a heart shape and a dinosaur, so heart shape it is. Its at an odd angle, but its the thought that counts, right? They'll think my thoughts were to get this done as quickly as possible.2 days to dry, sanding needed, how to paint it without looking like a 3 month old did it.....I'd suggest some non-neon pink paint. I'll take what I can get.Not a bad kit. Needs a second, smaller cookie cutter (plastic just fine, might add another $.30 to the cost) and let you know on the outside that it isn't there if they don't add it. Makes a decent looking ornament. Perfect for us fathers that can't do anything right anyway.

My 2 year old daughter had fun making it
I wasn't impressed. My 2 year old daughter had fun making it, but it's not great as a keepsake. We tried rolling it on the plastic, like the directions say to do, but the plastic is very creased, so we couldn't get a smooth surface. So then we tried rolling it out directly on the table, which I cleaned first, but it still managed to get some tiny bits of fuzz in it that were really hard to get out, so I finally just left them in there. The rolling dowel also is not nearly big enough--the ends make lines in the clay as you're trying to roll it. A rolling pin would work much better, but I didn't have one. We haven't painted it yet. Still waiting for it to dry--it's been about 48 hours so far.I haven't tried any other similar kits, so I can't do a comparison. I do know that I had a hand print keepsake I made when I was a kid, and it looked a lot better. My guess is that regular clay, parchment paper, and a rolling pin would likely do a better job.

Great product at a reasonable price
These were awesome! Very easy to make (they don't send a cut out for the smaller size but you can likely find a round item in your house that works). These dried within 24 hours and the paint made the print pop. I went to the store and got a different ribbon (I didn't like the appearance of the pink hand with a red ribbon) and now it looks like a much more expensive product than what I paid. Highly recommended!

Material does not take the footprint without the color
I attempted over a dozen times, pressing my baby's foot harder and harder. When I finally got an image decent enough because the material barely shows it, I let it dry... to nearly disappear! Maybe that's why they give the paint, but I tried that on one too and it is incredibly hard to get the exact outline with a brush. I'm incredibly disappointed about this waste of money.

Great memory keepsake or present!
Great product! Easy to use. I used tin foil on the bottom and the plastic sheet provided between clay and roller. When the plastic sheet ripped off, it left a few marks where some clay stuck to the plastic sheet but I was able to smooth it out with my fingers so that it's not too obvious. I was able to make an infant foot and hand print with one piece.

So easy and mess free
So easy and mess free. The only problem was in order to make two ornaments you had to find your own circle cut out because the one provided was huge and you needed to use both packages of stuff. I wanted two ornaments so my circles are odd shapes because I didn't have the right size circle cutter. Other than that, it was the easiest hand print ornament kit ever.

Good idea for Xmas decoration but looks cheap
I thought it was ceramic or clay but it is actually just a type of foam. Not bad for Xmas decoration but pretty cheap material. Not bad just for decoration but can't use as a longer term memory. I rather have spent more money to get something more elegant.
