Let me explain. The steel fork had pretty much seized, it was 7 lbs, had only 30mm of travel left, and the dropout widths were very thin, maybe 4mm (9mm wide for the actual axle space, 4 mm wide looking at it from a perpendicular angle straight on). The aluminum fork's dropout widths are standard, more like 12 mm straight on. And unlike the old wives' tale, aluminum CAN be bent to a certain extent, which is important because the dropouts are 9mm and the front hub axle for e-bikes are 14mm. I did the switch to aluminum and bent/scraped the dropouts wider with a vise-grip wrench. Because my hub got tweaked to 1000 watts, I was taking no chances and bought two of these. And boy are these suckers on tight. And that is the drawback: if I get a flat out there, it's going to take two wrenches (one to hold the outside bolt, and one to unscrew the inside nut). So I'm not taking this hub off until I have to. But these arms work just fine. Oh and by the way, get a mid-drive instead (I didn't because I didn't find any local bike shop to do the installation/wiring until I already bought a front-hub drive). ### ⭐⭐⭐ Metal warped for me. *by T***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2016* Maybe I have too strong of a hub motor but these already warped one day after I installed them on a 500w rear hub motor. They didn't feel snug enough around the axle (supposed to be 10mm, but they are slightly more maybe?) and when the motor turned the axle actually compressed the metal and still slipped. I'm not sure what to do now but try another different set. ### ⭐ Not worth it if you can't fit it. Expected a better quality and a better fitment for its price.
