Pure punk rock mayhem with a very tongue-in-cheek attitude from these Macclesfield nutcases. This compilation spans the bands career from their earliest recordings like "Eh Up!... Macc Lads" and "Eh Up!... Lets Sup" to "Village Idiot" from the bands last album "Alehouse Rock". There are also 13 tracks taken from the bands other four studio albums including the seriously homophobic "Lads From Macc" and "Now Hes A Poof" from their debut "Beer, Sex, Chips N Gravy", plus Macc comedy gems such as "Guess Me Weight" (with the classic line "Sit on my face... Ill guess your weight") and the perv paeans "Uncle Nobby" and "Julie The Schooly". Also included are also two tracks from "From Beer To Eternity" in the shape of the classic single "No Sheep Til Buxton" and the song "Pie Taster" from which the top US Ska band took their name.

Muttley McLadd is a true comedy genuis!
I was introduced to the Macc Lads via Eh Up Let's Sup, an alternative version of Blitzkreig Bop by the fantastic Ramones by a friend of mine who, being a devoted Joey Ramone fanatic, thought I would be offended. That was waaaay back in the early 80's and I don't think I've stopped laughing since. The Macc Lads put their own mark on several "classics" and every single one of them is a side splitter. This album gives a good grounding to their very politically incorrect humour, is not for the faint hearted or the easily offended, but is a must if you want to laugh like you have never laughed before. Loud, fast and funny but view with an open mind. If you can't do that, then put some Celine on your headphones and go back to sleep!
