Double Lock Thumbcuffs and Case Not Included

First: as other recent reviews have mentioned, you get one cuff, no case, two keys, and they come in black.These are fantastic. I’m a magician and needed the thumbcuffs for a small escape artist routine. (Thumbcuffs are smaller and easier to pack along than regular handcuffs, straight jacket, etc.) The cuffs seem durable enough to at least last me a while and my other regular cuff keys fit just fine.The double lock works great on my pair. Fair warning: the double lock requires you push an actual block, not poke into a hole. It can feel a bit slippery because the block is convex and wants to encourage the key to slide off. And maybe I haven’t quite found the touch yet, but mine seem strangely impossible to shim so far. (Different type of escape than I’ve been planning, but nice to have options.)Construction-wise they seem solid. There’s no play anywhere there shouldn’t be and the shackles have enough alignment that they can be pushed through the ratchet and flicked around like a fidgety thing.Overall I’m very pleased and don’t think I’d have a problem buying another pair if these actually broke.

Sturdy enough for any reasonable application. There is a window of about 1-2 clicks that will work for each thumb size. Outside of that window the device is either loose and easily gotten out of, or so tight as to put the person being restrained at unacceptably high risk of serious injury. These would be perfect for any law enforcement officers working for harsh totalitarian dictatorships. Perhaps more applicably, they are also perfect for someone wishing to sternly enforce strict discipline in the bedroom.

Worked like a charm. This is not for baby proofing, this is to keep the 8 & 10 year old from eating all the snacks in the snack cupboard all day. Love it.

Contrary to CLUELESS prior reviewer, these inexpensive but safe thumb cuffs DO have a double lock so they won’t cause injury!! Great alternative for off-duty carry instead of carrying full sized cuffs. Very pleased with this purchase!

They are very well made and we'll do what they're made to do

I wouldn't recommend this item. Although the finish was acceptable, they're not the best quality as the ratchet are too loose, HOWEVER. being a retired police officer and having carried this type of cuffs for years I wanted to try these out. They arrived promptly but if these were to be used in a pinch, you could be sued.These are a liability to use since the double lock feature doesn't work. This could cause serious injury if the ratchet jaws, that do not lock when the locking button is applied will, with any slight pressure to the jaw, WILL, tighten said ratchet AND IT WILL NOT RELEASE WITHOUT RELEASING it with THE KEY. This item, is labeled as "Professional Thumb-cuffs" and "designed for Official Police Use" and also "Made In Taiwan" on the box but I wouldn't chance them for that use or even as a novelty item for the aforementioned reason. Also, a Standard cuff keys worked intermittently in the pair I received. But Personally I wouldn't chance it even as a novelty or toy.I purchased these to replace a pair of Nickle plated "HWC" brand that I had for years, they worked flawlessly, but they were stolen and I haven't been able to find that brand since or if they're still being made..
