Outstanding Knee Sleeves!
I've had chronic bad knees for years. I started Crossfit a year ago but have been hindered by knee pain associated with anything involving squatting or running, which is almost everything we do. One of the coaches uses knee sleeves when he lifts and recommended that I try some. After doing extensive research on the available options, I decided to try the Hayaku's based on their positive reviews and their satisfaction guarantee. I was not disappointed. From the moment I opened the package, I could tell the quality of the sleeves was outstanding. The stitching was impeccable with no gaps or stray ends. I followed their sizing chart and the size large that I ordered were initially very tight. I was worried that they might be too tight because I have large calves and other reviewers had complained of restricted circulation. However I found that in use, the "tight" feeling soon went away, and by the end of the first WOD, I didn't even notice I was wearing them. The WOD included 48 dead lifts and a lot of running and I experienced no knee pain at all.I would highly recommend these to anyone who has knee pain while working out. It's a quality product at a fair price, and with their satisfaction guarantee, you can't go wrong.

worst 7mm sleeves no customer service!
These sleeves initially gave great support and kept my onees warm throughout snatch, clean&jerk, and squat sessions 3-4 days a week. After about 3 months of use I noticed the elastic bands becoming wavy and the stitching unraveling on the lower rear of each sleeve. This causes discomfort, pinching of the skin, and less overall support. I have tried contacting hayaku sports directly and through their facebook page. I didnt receive any replies but saw my visitor post on their page become hidden from public view. It looks like they are no longer operating any form of customer service at all. If you are looking for decent knee sleeves try Eleiko, Rehband, Super Training STrong Sleeves, or SBD. Hayaku is bottom rung in terms of quality and non existent customer service/satisfaction. STAY AWAY! They appear to be clearing out inventory and exiting the businsss.

Rarely lasts 3 months of 2x/week usage.
I was excited to get this pair of sleeves, only to find out that my calves are too big for the sleeve :( The sleeve itself looks very well constructed and I was satisfied with the support and warmth I felt when I squeezed my legs in there. However, just like another reviewer has said, if you have bigger calves you might have to buy a size up or consider something else. I have not tried a bigger size but at 15.5" calf, size M was too tight.-------------------------I returned and reordered size L, and it seems to be fitting okay. I still struggle a little to put it on (damn my calves) but they don't cut off my circulation and provide adequate warmth and support throughout training sessions. They even provide a bit of "bounce" (that you'd get from using knee wraps). However, the build quality of this doesn't seem to be a thing. I have been using this twice a week for 3 month, each time lasting about 1.5 hours. Yesterday I realized that the backside of the sleeves are starting to rip due to the pressure it gets when I squat, etc. Knowing this is a good size for my legs, for this to disintegrate this quickly is such a poor experience, and now I would have to shell out for another knee sleeves that will last me years and not 3 months.

Size them right and you will be pleased
Nine month update.... Everything I said in original review still stands with one addition. The neoprene in one of the sleeves has broken down after nine months use. I used to get about two years use out of the competitor brand (at the extra cost of $25). I am waiting to hear back from Hayaku to see if they honor their 1 Year Hassle-Free Replacement Guarantee. If they do, these will still be the better bargain. Will update when I get a response. These are an excellent value. Very well made. You can feel the quality as soon as you slip them on. They are not going to end all your knee pain if that is what you expect but they are going to give you solid support thereby minimizing any pain you might have. I am a 61 year old male that has been lifting heavy for 35 years. I stupidly injured both my knees in a fall when climbing in rugged terrain. My leg workouts were really suffering even while using quality knee wraps so I decided to try these sleeves. I have to say I would recommend them without hesitation. The sleeves offer excellent stability to my knees as well as keeping them warm between sets. I jumped right back up to pre-injury weights. I have big calves and lower thighs but used the measuring guidelines Hayaku recommends and mine fit perfect. Not extremely tight, nor too loose. Just good solid support that can stay on for an entire workout. A final piece of advice, don't guess at your knee size. Buy a cloth tape measure. They are cheap and will give you an accurate measurement so you buy the correct size. Buy these Hayaku sleeves if you like going hard and appreciate quality at a very good price. You won't be disappointed.

For CrossFit and Bad Knees
Fantastic. My knee measures 37cm around (measured per the instructions) and so I ordered a pair of Large - they fit perfect. The sleeves are more snug on the lower part, which no doubt helps keep them in place. I have slimmer calves, so take that into account. If you have big calves, pull them up far enough and it really should not be an issue. Also, sweat helps the neoprene stick, same as water for a wet suit. I use these for my entire CrossFit session regardless of WOD type, to include warm ups with running. When you first put these on you'll notice how quickly they warm up your knees and create a sweat. This is awesome. It feels like heat therapy and my knees are ready to work before I even arrive at the box. I have had knee problems all of my adult life and I will not work out without support. It seems many Crossfitters have 5mm versions as standard gear - so, I figured go thicker because of the knee issues, especially since my previous cheap pair where thin. The Hayaku quality is worth noting too - well made, serious gear.Very happy.
