Tornado Pepper Spray Armor Case

This thing is tough. I have it on a molle loop on my EDC bag, and it takes all of the bumps and bangs along the way. I would improve two things, though:1) move the finger guides down, away from the spray window. It feels more natural to me to grab this with my index finger above the top fin, placing it squarely in the way of the sprayer. (that may just be me, though)2) find a way to make the spray head stay more securely in the "off" position. It works it's way into the armed position too easily and could cause accidental discharge, especially if a kid gets hold of it. I understand that it's supposed to be easily used in an emergency, but this is a little too easy.Despite the minor flaws, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a non-lethal or backup self defense weapon. The design is nice, the pocket clip is durable, and it's a Ruger, so you know it works.

Bought one of these for my gf: She already used one, couple years ago, for self-defense. Although nothing is more effective than prevention, I like the sense of security it provides.I just tested it outside with one short squeeze, and its very powerful! It shots a tiny bit upwards indeed as the description said. So you might want to try it before hand to know what to expect. Besides, it fits well in the average hand (probably not for huge male hands), the security lock snaps tight on the side, but not too hard as well so you can slide it easy enough in the "ready" position.I took out one star because the little finger lock looks like it was designed to suit right-handed better. I might be wrong but I tried to find left-handed design, I cant find any.Its a good product anyone should have, walking out there in the streets.

Tried it in my backyard in a remote area full of spiders. Was really hoping it would spray a cone, but instead a stream came out. Prefer cone over stream since cone lacks more of a need to aim. Not sure if it has ink marking since there no details pertaining to that but hoping the redness IS ink marking. Will check back in a few hours to see if where I have sprayed is still colored. These issues are personal preferences so the lack of stars are not because of these.The problem lies with the lack of expiration date on the package and the item. That's a minus two because since there are no indicated expiration date, in those matter of seconds my girlfriend have to use this spray while trying to run away, all of it will be in vain when she sprays it and either it doesn't work or it sputters pepper spray nonsensely around that has lost its potent.I hope she never has to use it but if she ever does, I will definitely come back to re-review this item before the next twelve months when I replace it with a new brand that includes the date.

Good, but know the limitations. The spray pattern is good for less than 4 feet and the duration is about 3 seconds. Ok, but not great. There is also no date anywhere on the case or on the packaging. That matters. When you need it, you better hope that it isn't an old canister with no pressure left inside. I recommend you order two and spray one for practice to see how it performs. This was marketed under the Ruger firearms brand name. They have since pulled their name from this product. Makes you wonder why, right.

Running on back trails a few miles from the nearest human can be a bit unnerving if you are all on your own. After a young runner was attacked and murdered in my area a few years ago I always run with this on me. It give me piece of mind that I have one more tool to protect myself should I need it. I keep one in my car as well and I have one more for my daughter for when she walks alone to the park, library, etc. The price is right and the spray goes a good five feet or so when I tried it out.

I ordered 4 of these for people in my family. they have 2 prongs on the front that help for positive grip even if its dark. the only reservation it that the red lever moves a little too easily and when carried on a keychain the lever slides almost all the way to the fire position with all the moving around, so just be aware of how you handle it.

This spray is a good size, and easy to fit on your keyring. I have an issue with the safety on it though. All it requires is a slide to the side and a press to spray the fluid inside. The slide is very easy to move to firing position, and is not spring loaded so it will not return to a safety position if it is accidentally readied. I'm a little let down by this, and will probably be looking to get something better in the near future. I expected better from a company like Ruger.

Haven't had to use it yet but I love the piece of mind this provides me with. This is my 2nd one, TSA took my 1st one (warning: do not take this as a carry-on item), but that was my fault. I feel so naked without having this on me so I had to buy another one.
