DECADE Waterproof Housing Case for Osmo Action-Underwater 40 Meters

When I first bought my osmo I didn't feel the need to buy a housing for it, since the camera is waterproof up to 10m, and since I didn't dive deep nor practiced though sports, I felt I did not need more gear. But it reached a time I did in fact, It served its purpose of underwater casing and external protection. But yet again as I experienced more with the gopro I started buying underwater filters, and the very good ones have an attachment only for this case. I was thinking if it was really worth it, and as I started thinking more and more, I thought "screw it let's buy it since the price dropped to 16. So when I got it my inicial though was "wow.. This is really solid!!" yes, it's plastic but a very solid very well designed one! And works beautifully!So, is it worth paying more for an authentic housing case? No doubt! This solid piece of gear will last you a long time!Works as described. Lack of tools to equip.Good purchase sturdy as hell they however could have includes better tools to remove the lens and for switch the rear panel.

The product works perfectly for Osmo Action. The product is of very good quality. The waterproof case looks solid and works really well. The case fits all the required accessories easily and products the device at the same time. Item itself is really decent for the price, returning my hero 7 and upgrading this one to the pro version I like it that much!

I took this scuba diving down 25M with no issues with leaking. However the pins in the hinge started to rust after a couple days even after cleaning with fresh water. Most of the case scratches easy, however to case in front of the lense is a lot more scratch resistant. Good deal for the money.

Very handy product, easy to use and effective. Provides a durable and efficient casing for my Osmo Action which gives me way more peace of mind when using it.

This fit our Osmo Action camera perfectly and with closure easy and effective. We put the case with a dummy load underwater for 12 hours to assure no leaks and the case performed perfectly.To torture it even further, we hit the case with a pressure washer to determine that strength would hold...and again, without any issues or leaks.Go-Pro-style connections are well made and easy to use. One of the few things I really don't like about my Osmo Action is the goofy door that covers the power connection (USB C) and the MicroSD card slot. This thing is poorly designed, and almost always, when I try to insert or remove the SD card, the door pops off. As a result, I normally leave this door off. Unfortunately, without this door, the Osmo Action, which is nominally waterproof to 11 meters, is no longer waterproof.The Osmo Action needs a case of some sort, as it lacks any means of mounting it to anything without a case. The included case does not seal the unit at all, so with the door off, the Action isn't weather-tight. This is where the Decade Waterproof Housing comes in. Using this housing, I can keep the door off (and safe in a secure location), mount the Action via the case's GoPro mounting system, and INCREASE the weather protection for my Action.The only negative is that you're putting a piece of plastic in front of the lens. I haven't seen any image degradation, but the clear acrylic plastic the case is made of will probably scratch easily, and this will reduce the attractiveness of keeping my Osmo Pocket in the Decade case, other than the rare instances when I might be diving deeper than 11 meters , something that almost never happens.So, in short, this is a nice way to increase the protection for my Osmo Action, both from dropping and from environmental challenges, like rain, dirt, dust, snow, moisture, etc..

This item is made from high quality material, it is thick enough to trust and ready to hit the depths, it goes at least 40m. It fits the Osmo system only and will protect your camera fully and completely. I only have one camera that I received when my uncle passed away or I would not have been able to test this item properly. I had never used it before so when I received this item I got my chance and I used it for this test and it did beautifully. I put it into my big fish pond and tested it out and got to see some amazing stuff. The quality wasn't "perfect" but I don't know if it was the camera or the case that caused the issue but it was still really fun to see. Great item 4 stars.

So why 3 stars?1. So i am not sure what is the rating 40m or 45m. Product description and product title does not match. Also picture states 40m.2. I am not sure if the metal pieces (buttons and springs) are stainless steel or not? Product says that its good for scuba diving - but it just did not like it. Concern that it might rust.Overall case is decently made. Clear plastic looks great. Leans looks pretty clear and did not abstract video quality. All buttons worked, though were a little awkward to operate - sticking a bit.Do not recommend, due to concerns stated above.What i like about it1. しっかりとした作りだと思います。まだ実際には使っていませんが、雨の日の防水効果に期待したいです。
