Doesn’t have The Raven or Annabel Lee

The cover of this book is good quality and has the same print as shown on the paper. However, the pages of the book are made up of a thin, flimsy material. It is distracting, since you can see the ink bleed from the other side of each page. The pages are a bright white, and feel unsubstantial. There are no images in the book, only one header art reused. Overal ithe book is fine, I gave it 4 instead of 3 stars since the cover is nice, and the book is quite inclusive of all of Poe's works.

So many books are being taken out of print by a delusional ideology that believes books are inherently biased, racist or just evil. It's bad enough our children are being robbed of a decent education, let alone taking away a certain level of cultural growth by sitting down with a classic read. I'm buying books just like this one and many others in hopes of preserving a little piece of literary history and passing them down to my children with the hope they pass them on to their own.Semper Fi!C.S. The description implies that both parts 1 and 2 are included in the book. They are not. This is only part 2 of the collection. I would advise anybody thinking about purchasing this book to keep looking for something better.

Great collection of poe works. Cover is beautiful as well.

I got this for my nephew. I already have the complete works of Edgar Allen Poe. He though it was strangely different but, he liked it.

The book arrived earlier then expected and I’ve enjoyed since. I don’t understand other reviewers saying it’s missing poems and stories like “the raven” as that is included in the book. The only complaint I have is that the pages are a little thin.

Llegó en perfecto estado y antes de lo esperado. El papel sí es algo delgado, pero la edición sigue luciendo.

このCDは2枚組でそれぞれ12tracksある。ただそのtrackの区切り方がかなり適当で、第1 trackはたったの3行で第2 trackに移行、途中も段落など関係なく、文章の途中で容赦なく別のrackに移行。ナレーションは黒猫と黄金虫でそれぞれ別の声優が担当している。彼らの英語は標準的で聞きやすいし、結構、感情移入もされていてinterpreteve readingのお手本になる・・・が、黄金虫の場合、黒人の下男、ジュピターの南部黒人英語による台詞が結構出て来て、原書で読んでも意味不明・・・なものを声色を変えて忠実に朗読しているのには閉口した（勿論、英語リスニングの勉強にならないという意味て、声優はよくやっている）。さらに謎の暗号（5行位ある）を、忠実に「8;99*)?」などといちいち丁寧に読み上げる（全部読むのに20秒くらいかかる）のでこれまた閉口。CD 2枚目の最後のtrack（これも3行くらい）の後に「お楽しみいただけました©でしょうか」とナレーションが入っていたが、英語学習者としては黄金虫の朗読は長々とした「南部黒人英語」と「暗号文」の読み上げが随所に入っていて、勉強に使えない部分が多かったので、あまり嬉しくなかった。純粋に朗読を楽しむためにはよいが、英語のお勉強用にはちょっと向かないCDであった。
