FINALLY!! A music player that states it will play high resolution sound AND DOES!!
I have recorded a variety of high resolution files in various formats like Ogg Vorbis and FLAC. Vorbis is a lossy format so I am re-recording in FLAC, but I am far from finished so I need to be able to play both. This little player handles both with alacrity, and I am very much enjoying it.One of the main features for me besides the obvious (sound quality and file support) is that it has actual buttons. I don't want to have to look at a screen, and in fact I couldn't care any less if it had a screen at all. I need to be able to operate it by touch, and this player is _very_ easy to control.I also love that it is so small and light that I can take it anywhere. Don't get me wrong, it is beefy for its size and does not feel cheap at all, but it is so small that it is light for that very reason.I have not had it long so I cannot speak about the durability yet, but the feature set is _exactly_ what I was looking for!

Although a bit pricey but it's worth the money
I love this mp3, gets me going whenever I can and even has a shuffle feature(which is usually the standard for most mp3s).My only gripes with it is that you have to physically(by that I meant by the computer or whatever) put songs onto your favorites. That's my whole thing about it, it's hella small, hella easy to put music into, and even hella expansive with the amount.Do you know how many songs you can shove into with your 256 GB sd card? A crap ton.Anyways, good bass, good sound, and even buttons that are easy to find as well as use for a good workout or just a quick walk to wherever. The price for it is left to be desired, but you get most out of it if you are just looking for a great mp3 player and nothing else.

A very mickey mouse player, an actual mickey mouse player may be better than this
I've had this for 2 months. I'm past the return window but that is my bad. So just don't buy it. Here are my issues.1. it takes sometime 5 to 10 minutes to get anything to play. This is not a turn it on and press play kinda player. They probably skimped on memory or code or both. This is a daily problem.2. the scroll knob is so slow. i only have about 1/3 of my library on the sd card and it takes forever, forever to scroll to an artist. there's no short cuts, it won't scroll faster after say a few scrolls.3. memory again. i bought a 256gb card to support my full library, i can't get the card to read in any bearable time. the player will auto power off at the "loading..." screen.4. there is no feedback. the "loading..." screen does not increment nor does the spinner move so you don't know if the player accepted your clicks. you probably have to count to 10, then see if it updates then try again. but the reaction is so slow it's not worth it.The design has some potential but all the corners that they cut make it unbearable to use. Save your money and look elsewhere. I'm putting mine in the trash. I won't even sell it because that karma will come back on me.Good luck.

Nice little player
Really glad I bought this player. The build quality is much better than I've ever had previously, settings are fairly straight forward though the equalizer is very simplistic. The volume control is something I had to get used to, at first I thought it was loosening up but later realized it was intentional as to prevent accidental volume surprises from rubbing clothing. There's plenty of storage with cards, sound quality is crisp and clear. Fairly easy to figure out right from the start.

It's tiny -- the size of a Sandisk clip and the higher price is justified by the added features.
I love my Sandisk clip but wanted something with a few more features and built with a bit more robustness. The Sandisk is plastic and the screen has started to break up after a few years of use. This may not be a common fault but I was willing to spend a bit more for a DAP with a metal body and a rotating knob for some controls. I haven't put the new player to any torture tests but it's small, comes with a clip and has controls I think I'll like. I have not yet tested the "hold" function and that may be a make or break test. I cannot count the number of times I've screwed up an audiobook because I couldn't get the hold function to work properly on the Sandisk. I'd accidentally nudge the button bending down or getting onto my bike and then spend 15 minutes or more trying to find the part I was listening to when the player switched to a different file.

Sound is Really Excellent!
This is the first high resolution player I've tried where the high resolution music files sound so much better - musical and detailed - then mp3s even with my less than optimum earbuds. How is that possible with such a tiny, low-priced player? Not total perfection: Phonojack needed twisting and pushing is get both channels playing which makes me wonder about life of connection. I loaded a 256 Gb flash card on my Mac by going from an existing flash drive to a microSD via an adapter. Player was not recognized as external memory over USB (as others have reported). This precludes loading the internal 16 Gb. Could go to a Windows computer to use this memory but the 256 Gb is plenty.Need to continue gathering experience, but the sound is terrific.

Nifty little contraption.
I recently bought one of these for myself and liked it so much that I got my dad one for his birthday. It's tougher and better in quality than an iPod in my personal opinion. The battery also lasts insanely long. Nifty little contraption.
