I've never owned a GoPro camera because of the expensive prices. I'm sure it's worth it, but I have mouths to feed and I just never got around to buying one. I hope to buy one in the future, but for the time being, I figured I'd try a budget friendly version. Enter the Runme R3 4K action camera.First, I was impressed with the amount of accessories that came with this kit. The waterproof housing is a great accessory that I plan on using a lot.Furthermore, I was impressed by the large touchscreen display and ability to connect via WiFi to your cell phone through the OKCAM Pro app. I was playing around with the app, and it appears to work as advertised.The menu is pretty intuitive and easy to navigate. There are plenty of settings and features to suit your needs. The stabilization feature was a nice touch, and I use the camera with this feature on so the footage isn't so jarring. I didn't expect all these features at this price point.The presentation upon unboxing was excellent! I was surprised how well it was packaged and presented. It definitely didn't have a cheap feel to it. The unit itself is sturdy and feels quality. I'm just hoping that it's able to stand up to some abuse since this camera is advertised as an "action camera." I suppose time will tell, and I'll definitely update this review should there be any issues that come up.Speaking of issues, I ran into an issue regarding the WiFi feature of the camera and contacted the seller regarding it, and I have to comment that the customer service was excellent and quick! It ended up being user error, but they were gracious and helpful nonetheless! Extra points for awesome customer service!All in all, my experience with this product has been a positive one. I plan on getting good use out of it, so I'll probably have more to add (or subtract) later down the line. For the time being, the family is enjoying playing around with this new little toy and making family memories...

I travel a lot and was looking at getting a GoPro but the price of it had me waiting. When I saw this I decided to give it a shot and see what I would get for a fraction of the price of the GoPro. This thing is easy to use with simple menu buttons on the touchscreen, awesome picture quality, and just about any mount you can imagine included. Helmet mount, bike mount, dash mount...just about any surface mount. I even bought a case specifically for the GoPro and this fit the slots perfectly as well as the accessories!I'm happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again.

I've owned other action cams and dash cams however this one device can replace both my action and dash cams and do it extremely well.The menu is simple to understand and operate. You can easily swipe through different setting using the touch screen. The included accessories are more than enough for any need you may have. It comes very securely and nicely packed (see picture).I am currently using this as a dash cam. When I start the car the Runme will power on and start recording automatically. When I turn off the car Runme will automatically stop recording and power off. Also has Image Stabilization so even if you are going over bumpy roads the video will not be shakey.(I'll upload video at a later time).

Recently went on a beach resort trip with the family and fortunately received the Runme R3 right before leaving.I gladly put this action cam to the test the first day out in the ocean and it didn’t disappoint. Was tested while using the touchscreen friendly waterproof case so I could fool around with the settings while out on the water. Trying to fiddle through the Runme’s menus while fighting waves, wearing sunglasses or goggles and keeping an eye on a floating child wasn’t the smartest move, but I was able to capture wonderful shots with only a few (user) missteps. I will definitely have all my settings selected before I try that again and will have the -automatic record when powered on - option activated so I don’t miss any good moments.Outside of the water and not using the waterproof case, the touchscreen is very responsive and easy to use. I was also surprised at how clear the video was on the tiny touchscreen when reviewing video I had taken. The audio was also decent when inside the case and much better when outside it.Battery life seems to be perfectly fine, but I was not able to fully test it. It is nice that this comes with 2 batteries and dual charger. The battery can also be charged while inside the camera if you so choose.I chose to install a 64gb card which the camera says would give me either 6hrs @ 1080p or 5hrs @ 4k settings (see pics).I’m not sure if I’ll use all of the additional accessories with this camera but it’s nice to have these options available. (See screen shots of different mounting setups)On a side note, I accidentally got water inside the camera by not closing the case properly and I was able to let it dry out and it works perfectly fine. I guess you can file that under it’s durability rating.I’m really happy with this camera and it’s accessories bundle and will be using it ocean kayaking in the near future.Looking forward to using this on all my little adventures.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well the video comes out on this camera. The only con I have is the audio in the water proof isn’t great. Sounds like the audio is being recorded through a water tight case.... so it makes sense. It’s also pretty easy to set up and use. I think the most confusing part was figuring out all the extra parts that come with the camera. Then again I’m very new to the action camera game so I had quite the learning curve.The camera comes with just about everything you need to start recording! The only two thing missing where a handle and a micro sd card. Both were cheap and easy to pick up.All in all I am definitely looking forward to taking this camera on vacation.
