It’s definitely not for everyone
If you’re looking for a versatile fuzz, something you can use for everything from doom to classic rock, this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for Electric Wizard, Sleep, Boris, etc. and if you have a decent amp and detuned guitar, then you should get some cool sounds out of it. I LOVE doom metal and I bought this based on demos I’d seen online. Bad idea (when will I learn?!). I was eventually able to get a decent sound out of it, but I much prefer my Musket and my Russian pickle fuzzes. It also didn’t seem to play well with any type of boost in front of it. I used to goose my big muff with a rat and it was a nice combo. The rat would tighten up the bigmuff, but the dungeon master has so much gain that it just ate it up and ended up sounding like mush. If I had bought this in a store, I would have returned it. Again, this is NOT a bad fuzz. It actually has a very unique sound to it. It just isn’t my taste. If you’re looking for something to give you that doom detuned guitar sound I think you’ll like it. I suggest playing it through a clean amp with plenty of headroom. I haven’t played it with a bass guitar, but I have the feeling that it would sound monstrous with a bass.

Blackened sludge all day.
I bought this pedal after months of trying to decide which HM-2 clone I wanted. Despite being touted as a fuzz, this is not for fuzz purists. This is not for the weak at heart. This fuzz/distortion hybrid hates you. It wants you to be uncomfortable. It's not for classic rock. It's not for droney doom. Its great for the blackened sludge sound, great for old school Gothenburg death metal, and great for some really heavy doom. I personally pair this with my Mr Black doomstick to really push the noise. I have the larger version, which sounds the exact same, Ijust like how it looks a little better. Great for the fuzz nut who wants something a little different, or the HM-2 fan who doesn't want the same old clone that everyone else makes and charges way too much for.
