Recommended, but awkward button placement
I've now had this hair dryer for about 3 months. I've had no mechanical issues with it. On the pro side, it is very light, relatively quiet and it dries my hair, which is quite long, quickly, though the drying time is not significantly faster than my old salon quality ionic, non-infrared hair dryer. (It is however much faster than drugstore/major retail hair dryers I have owned). I also like the plug, which seems a lot sturdier than my old hair dryer. However, I can't tell any major difference over my old hair dryer in terms of frizziness and shine. On the con side, this hair dryer doesn't have a removable filter/screen over the air intake, which would make it a lot easier to clear out lint or hair (especially dog hair as my bf uses it sometimes to dry the dog after a bath). I also really hate the button placement and strongly considered returning it for that reason, though I ultimately decided to hang onto it. Though the placement might be fine in a salon where the dryer is being used to dry someone else's hair, when using it on your own hair adjusting the heat or fan, or turning off the hair dryer is cumbersome and requires the user to reposition the dryer to reach the buttons. In addition, the cool shot button has to be held down to be used and is an awkward rocker button that is hard to press down. Bottom line, if this hair dryer is an upgrade over the Conair you had in college, you'll love it, but if you are changing from something of comparable quality, it's really more of a lateral change than an upgrade.

Okay, but not amazing, stopped working after 2 years, not worth it. I'm switching to Rusk W8less.
What a shame.....I'm so disappointed that such an expensive product stopped working after almost 2 years. I really thought I was buying a high end, quality product. Thank goodness I purchased it with my Amex which doubles the warranty. This product comes with a 1 year warranty, so luckily, I'm just under two years and can still file with Amex since the Kadori people were unable to do anything for me. It's so unfortunate that it stopped working for no reason at all. I reached out to customer service and they suggested I press the reset buttons (as if I was born yesterday and hadn't tried that, and other plugs in the house, already). Besides the fact that my old cheap Conair blow dryers have worked for 10+ years while this one stopped after 2, this appliance is overall good, but not amazing. My mom had visited me once and really loved this blow dryer. She asked me to buy it for her as a gift. Instead, I bought her the Rusk W8less, since she complains of painful wrists and I thought it was important to address that health concern. Since then, I've had the experience with both products. The Rusk W8less blow dryer, while half the price ($77), actually does a much better job. I never believed that a blow dryer can make a difference when it comes to frizz. I thought the Kadori was doing a good job until I used the Rusk. I was actually amazed at the difference. I usually have to really work to straighten out the hair and reduce the frizz, but with the Rusk, it just sort of happened without me putting in much effort. It's also much lighter than the Kadori, which makes a huge difference in the overall experience. The Rusk blows air in a way where your hair isn't blowing all over the place, it's somehow calmer, more directed, yet manages to dry hair very quickly. So, since this Kadori quit on me unexpectedly, I'm going to ahead and switch to the Rusk W8less myself. And since Rusk offers 2 years warranty, at least I know I can count on having this product under warranty for at least 4 years since I'll be buying with my credit card that doubles the warranty.

This thing works even after 3 years!!
I was prompted to write this review after I just bought my daughter a $300 blow dryer of another brand for Christmas (I didn’t pay that amount...it was on sale). I wanted to try this blow dryer and see what the hype was about. So I did. Completely let down.I bought my Kadori blow dryer 3 years ago. I’ve loved it since I got it and thought it was well worth the money. And after trying my daughters new blow dryer, I was even more convinced. My Kadori dries my super thick hair in about 7 minutes. The one for my daughter took EIGHTEEN MINUTES!!My hair is never very frizzy after using my Kadori. The other one...had to reach right for my flat iron to tame it down.I will say, this blow dryer is the heaviest I’ve ever used. However; after about the first week, I didn’t even notice it anymore.I’m going on 3 years of owning and using this blow dryer just about every single day and I still LOVE IT!! I highly recommend it.I’m not getting paid or any compensation for this review. I just had to write it after my experience with another blow dryer that was super expensive.

Not worth the price
I purchased this believing it was a high quality, professional blow dryer and, for the price, expected it to deliver outstanding results and last a long time. I've had it for only a little over 5 years, and the motor has gone out on it. During the time using it, I really haven't been very impressed. The biggest positive feature is that it's lightweight. But, other than that, I haven't noticed a difference compared to the other, much less expensive hair dryers I've used in the past, that lasted way longer. I will not be buying another Kadori.

A Good, solid hair dreyer but very powerful
A Good, solid hair dreyer but very powerful. If you have fine hair like I do it tangles it on high speed. If I use it on a high speed I end up with a huge mess on my head. I use it on a medium speed and it does a nice job but I kind of miss my old hair dryer that I did use on high speed for extra volume. This one gives extra volume but it takes more of "work" for me to manouver between settings to get my hair style just right. But I am keeping it because it is a solid hair dryer and it looks like it should last plus it is gentle on hair.

Excellent hair dryer but would be better if the filter was removable for cleaning
There are a million different hair dryers out there and it can be difficult to weave through the garbage that lines the way to finding something that works and works well. I was surprised that there wasn’t more of a plastic smell when first powering this thing up. Most new dryers have a phase where the plastic releases an awful stick for the first while. The Kadori L.I.A 2500X dryer is a nice piece of technology. Only time will tell if it stands up to repeated use that one would expecting in a salon environment but I'm going to venture out there and say yes. This thing feels solid, the handle is sturdy, the cool shot switch in the handle (used to temporarily cut off the heating element) feels good and is easy to use.My wife hasn’t used a dryer for years instead preferring to air dry because of the static/frizz/wild side effects that comes from dryers. She's been pretty happy using this thing. Whatever they are doing to reduce frizz is working. The whole thing is light, you won’t be straining your wrist when moving around to get a better angle on something or flipping it back and forth. It puts out a lot of heat. Heck if I ever have a frozen up engine block in the winter I'm pretty sure this will get it warmed up.It also pushes a lot of air; I mean a lot. This does have a drawback however. The more air it pulls in the more crud it sucks into the filter. Cleaning the filter is easy but it is not removable and this is not great when you consider how much crud can get past filters and clog up the insides where it can eventually cause a dryer to burn up do to restricted air flow. When something draws this much power you want to make sure you keep the whole machine clean so nothing over heats. It does have a long cord. I measured 265cm or over 8 feet which doesn’t align with the manufacturers stated information of 3.1m or 11 feet. None the less it a very long cord and should do well in a salon environment where the length is important to get around chairs. The two included accessories, a diffuser and concentrator fit well and work well just like they should.Technical stuff for those who careFor those of you who look for this kind of information, I have images below taken of a KILL A WATT showing the current drain. This thing is no light weight, it’s not the most energy hungry dryer but it’s also not the easiest on the power meter. At the highest drying setting it draws 12.75 amps (if you have anything else plugged in and running on the same circuit you’re going to be popping the breaker), lower heat level is 7+ amps, and just running the fan it draws .83 amps which is a lot for just a fan, even one that runs at high RPM like this one. I am surprised at the current load since this is supposed to use an infrared heating system which typically draws less current.Fit and finish on everything is good. It feels good, looks good and works great.Based on how much heat and how much air this drier pushes I'd have to say it’s worth the money. Over all it’s a good product and we're happy to have it. Based on how much current it uses even with new technology and the filter not being removable I'm taking off a star. Even just the filter is an important item as keeping the inside clean is a very important item if you want this to keep working for years.

Helps my frizzy hair
Item reviewed - blow dryerPrice at time of purchase $99.03This hair dryer makes my hair shiny and almost frizz free. The dryer is much lighter than you would think and the cord is over 3 meters long which gives you great range. The dryer is quieter than other ones I have tried. There are two speeds and three temperature settings. It also comes with a diffuser and concentrator. The dryer is comfortable to hold and use and does a great job on my hair, it actually helps with my frizz. It also takes less time than the cheaper dryers. My only wish is that I could take the filter out to clean it.This dryer does a great job and is worth the money. I know I will be getting years of use out of it.

It works!
In case you’re wondering whether this hair dryer is actually better than those that cost a third of this one or if it’s all the same, and Kadori is just trying to sustain their marketing department that brought you excellent terms like “proprietary Leveled Infrared Ionic Air technology” and "Ergonomically-light weight body”, I’ve wondered that too. The short answer is that this one IS actually better. The materials the hair dryer is made out of are higher quality than cheaper alternatives and it does actually dry hair faster and with less damage than others. When we received this Kadori hair dryer, my wife and I have been using a Testarossa hair dryer (from a well-known brand) for a couple of years and have been generally happy with it. It also uses “tourmaline ceramic” and “ionic” technologies but costs about a third of Kadori 2500X. My wife has long, often frizzy, hair and was very excited to try this. And while my hair is relatively short, it’s very thick. I therefore decided to do a head-to-head comparison between the two hair dryers and see if we could both discern any difference between them without measuring any “ions” or their “levels”. Going in, I didn’t think I would care which hair dryer I used, but I was proven wrong. But first, the stats.StatsKadori weighs exactly the same as the Testarossa and Testarossa uses more power (more power = better, right?). I weighed both hair dryers on a digital kitchen scale with the cord resting on the counter. I got these stats as soon as I received the hair dryer and started to worry for Kadori, since it wasn’t any lighter than Testarossa. This is one of those cases where the stats don’t tell the whole story though.Kadori L.I.A. 2500x -> 513g -> 1800w (Made in Korea)Testarossa -> 513g -> 1875w (Made in China)Build qualityKadori hair dryer has a matte rubberized finish. This finish looks nice and is a bit more grippy than regular plastic, which makes it easier to hold and quickly move the hair dryer side-to-side. The handle and controls are well-designed. It comes with a long heavy-duty cord (over 10’ long), which makes Kadori easier to use if your outlet is not right next to the mirror. At the other end of the cord you find a GFCI plug, which offers a peace of mind even if your bathroom outlet already has GFCI. This is all in contrast to Testarossa that has smooth plastic body with a poorly-designed handle and a standard 6ft 2-prong cord.OperationDespite Kadori having lower power rating, it has stronger air flow. It also generates a very different type of heat. It may be a weird description, but Kadori's heat feels "softer" than Testarossa. Kadori also doesn't feel as hot on your skin, but somehow actually dries hair faster! It took me a while to figure out why but I think this is because Kadori's heat is evenly distributed across the air stream coming out of the hair dryer, while Testarossa is really hot in the middle and much cooler on the sides (my scientific test for this was move my finger, arm and cheek across the discharge from each hair dryer). So essentially Testarossa feels hotter just because there is a concentrated hot spot that burns you while the surrounding area dries slowly. This Kadori hair dryer however dries the entire area it touches. When my wife tried both hair dryers side-by-side, she compared them to different ends of a round pencil. Testarossa was like the pointy end of it with strong airflow in the middle and much weaker on the sides, causing her hair to fly in all directions. Kadori was more like the unsharpened end of that pencil, pushing the hair back, but not so much side-to-side. As a result, combined with even heat distribution, it was much easier for my wife to control her hair and for both of us to control where and how much heat each area received. If I was to guesstimate, Kadori dried our hair at least a third faster than Testarossa, despite Testarossa feeling hotter. I must say that really prefer the even heat distribution of Kadori, because I don't burn my head as I'm finishing up the drying processs, and my wife really likes both the consistent heat and the airflow. At the end, I could clearly see my wife’s hair be more shiny than usual. I’m not sure if this was due to the "levelled ionic air" or just due to the fact that she can now dry her hair evenly without damaging it, but it does work. He hair does look less frizzy as well, but the shine was the most apparent difference to me.Kadori clearly offers a more effective and comfortable solution here. Whether or not it’s worth the money, will just depend on your needs. Did I need Kadori hair dryer? No. Did my wife? I’m now thinking that she did without realizing it.TIP: If you’d like to remove the rear mesh filter for cleaning, you can. It’s not obvious but quite easy since the metal mesh is just held in place by friction. Here’s how I did it, but this is not “manufacturer approved” so please do this at your own risk. First, I removed the bezel around the mesh by twisting it counter-clockwise and pulling it away from the hair dryer. Next, you’ll want something that will help you remove the mesh without damaging it (your fingers aren’t going to be enough). I tried a number of things for this and found that a plastic clip off a milk bag works best. It’s plastic and won’t scratch the hair dryer, has a convenient notch to grip the mesh and shouldn’t break. I put a notch closest to the edge of the clip into one of the holes on the side of the mesh and gently but firmly pulled away from the hair dryer. The mesh filter then comes off pretty easily. Take a look at attached pictures if that’s not very clear. When I’m done cleaning, I simply push the mesh filter back onto the hair dryer and put the bezel back on by lining up the tabs on the bezel with the holes on the hair dryer and twisting it clockwise. Hope this helps!

Wish the filter was removable for regular maintenance.
We used to think a hair dryer was a hair dryer in this house, like almost everyone else we knew we just used a plain hair dryer with one of the big "usual" names on it that someone picked up at a big box store at some point in the past. Maybe we were lucky, but the inexpensive generic dryers lasted forever (so long as we kept them clean, and of course many cheap dryers are not made to actually be cleaned properly), they blew hot air, and that was that. A couple of years ago, I came across a deal on a Solano hair dryer with a regular price approximately in the same range as this Kadori so I bought it figuring it was worth a try. If you're not sure that a more expensive dryer will actually perform better than a cheap one, I can tell you one thing for sure after having both my wife and myself use both the Solano and the Kadori now, they do work better and it is not just all hype."Beauty" products, in general, are something I have a hard time with in terms of the marketing. A lot of the claims being made by many of the products are just crazy sounding stuff I can only hope most people treat as hyperbole. The Kadori dryer, while far from the worst offender in this regard, does make some claims that I can't substantiate about it drying hair in such a way that makes it shinier or less frizzy. I'll be completely fair here and say that neither my wife or my hair (hers is thick and naturally straight, mine is usually kept fairly short in most places on my head) really has the problems, naturally, that the hair dryer claims to improve or prevent so while I can't say we've noticed our hair shinier or less frizzy (neither with this or our regular dryer), I can't say that it wouldn't do these things for someone else either. What I can get on board with in the product description are the air velocity and light weight of the dryer. This thing blows, it puts out quite a lot of air on high speed and gets extremely toasty on high heat - it's able to adjust the heat level very fast too, it only takes a second to ramp up to full heat from no heat. It also does this without being any noisier. In general, the dryer is I'd say what you would expect as average in terms of noise (you're not expecting me to call a hair dryer quiet are you?) but it does blow harder. The motor is fairly vibration free when operating on high speed, but when the dryer is set to the low speed there is a noticeable decrease in the motor's smoothness and the quality of the noise it makes becomes slightly more rumbly. This is pretty normal, but I thought it was an observation worth sharing. The weight is very reasonable, though depending on what you have happening with the cord the weight of the cord can really drag it down (the cord is really long, which is great if you're running a salon or something but honestly it is complete overkill for home use at somewhere between 11 and 12 feet). Kadori makes specific claims about the light weight but honestly I struggled to find any obvious difference in the weight of the unit itself to our other dryer. I personally find the "cold shot" button difficult to use on this dryer, it seems somewhat awkwardly placed and is a bit difficult to actually engage without any kind of tactical feedback that you have indeed pressed it in enough. Despite this, it does work. I like the fact that all of the controls on this dryer are well labeled, in contrast our Solano has no labeling at all on the controls and sometimes I forget which toggle does what requiring a few moments of trial and error. It's a small thing, but something someone who doesn't use it all day, every day, will probably appreciate. The one area where I was disappointed with the dryer is the fact that the rear filter of the Kadori is NOT removable for cleaning. Remember what I said about cheap dryers lasting a long time as long as you take care to keep them clean and that it can be a pain since they are usually not designed for deep cleaning? Well the Kadori has the same problem, and for something meant for professional use, is expensive and definitely something you're going to want to keep as clean as possible I don't understand why they wouldn't make it removable. Our other "Pro" dryer, the Solano, has a removable filter and is a cinch to clean. The Kadori, I think, you will have to brush off the filter quite regularly to keep build up to a minimum and there is no way short of disassembly from getting to the back side of the filter which inevitably will get clogged up with dust and lint. The lack of a removable filter on this model is why I've rated this dryer 4 instead of 5 stars, as everything else about the dryer is great.I feel overall this is a great performing hair dryer that is definitely capable of standing toe to toe with our other "Professional" level dryer. It's put together well, with better than average materials (i like the "soft touch" rubberized plastic used on the main body of the dryer) and it's powerful. The cord is too long for home use, and you'll leave most of it tied up, but this isn't so much a con and is pretty normal for these dryers it seems - if it was a short cord, I'm sure more people would be complaining about that than over a too-long cord. I just wish the filter on the back of the dryer were removable to make thorough cleaning out of the dryer easy without requiring full disassembly. For those who are curious, this hair dryer is made in Korea and is ETL certified for safety.
