Chocolate Bidou 2GB - MP3 player for babies and kids with built-in loudspeaker

I like that it's safe to use with infants, it's easy to plug it into my computer and add music, and it holds more than enough music (especially for my 10 month old). It's also very small (portable), cute, and has held up well for being thrown out of a crib dozens of times at this point.The biggest negative is that to limit the volume, to set it to shuffle, and to lock the buttons all require pushing a combination of two buttons at the same time and it doesn't always work. If this had been a $15-20 product, it would be a little annoying...but for $59 I was hoping for better quality. Still, we purchased it because there were not many similar products on the market to choose between...and I do like it overall.

My 12m. old loves music & has bounced, danced, clapped, and sang to music. I absolutely love this player because it allows him to listen to music on the go - and it allows me to listen to what I want while he can listen to what he wants. He's only had it less than a month & he's dropped it so many times, especially from sitting in the grocery buggy - don't know how long it can live up to that abuse, but so far, so good. The sound quality is pretty good - not disappointed at all.I don't like that the play/pause buttons are right where he holds his thumbs, so I'm always having to un-pause or re-play it for him. Plus, he likes lights, and the lights light up when he hits the pause button, which only makes him press the buttons more. Maybe these buttons should be like the volume & search buttons - so that they're more recessed instead of pronounced.I wish that it was a little more like our other MP3 that displays the song & you can scroll through the songs - there's no way to know what song is next, but that's just a preference & nothing bad on the product.I also wish the speaker was on the front, but again, that's my preference.All in all, I am in love with it & I'm sure my son will get many, many years out of it (providing he stops dropping it!). If you have a musical child, I highly recommend this product.

Did not work. Bought for my grandson for Christmas and he was so disappointed when he opened the present.

Love the idea of this mp3 player but it is not very user friendly. Adding songs was easy and it seems to fit quite a few (we have nearly 100 on there right now), but the buttons are hard to push and confusing- for example in order to play the songs in random order, you have to push two different buttons at the exact same time for exactly one second- I've yet to be able to make this work. So the same songs keep playing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (you get the idea).My other complaint is using it with headphones- I bought this particular mp3 player because it could be used with headphones, and it can, sort of- the hole to plug them in is under a screwed lid, and even the instructions say you must use a "bent" 3.5 mm jack. I get that they don't want a child to be able to plug and unplug the headphones at will, however I think if a child is old enough to actually use the headphones they can be taught not to do it. As it stands, every time we wanted to switch from using headphones to not using them, out comes the screwdriver to release the bottom panel and unplug them.The other complaint is of course, the price. For $59 I should be getting an amazing item, not a work in progress.That being said, I can barely pry this bear from my grandson's hands as he loves it so much.

Was so excited to get this product, but neither of my kids really care for it. Also, it's just a basic MP3 player, so why does it cost so much? It is very sturdy and has survived a drop on the floor or two- but most of the time this sits in a drawer. What is frustrating is most little handheld games and tablets cost about the same as this item but they play music AND have other things to offer. This just plays music. Also, it is frustrating to have to take the screws out every single time you want to upload music onto it. The ports are completely covered.

This MP3 player does work well and my baby really likes but it goes through batteries alot faster than I thought it would.

The only thing that is issue is that the play and pause are the same button. Once the child figures out to only press once, it won't be an issue. VERY durable! Easy to upload music!

Some nice features but extremely finicky, awful software, and some design flaws. It worked with my ancient Mac Mini but not my MacbookPro from last year. As another reviewer said, even when it does work with a Mac (probably PC too), it doesn't interface with with music software. You have to do file copy, and if you want songs in a particular order, it's a total drag. Not only do you have to name them alphabetically in the order you want, you have to delete anything already on the device, copy all the songs you want to a subdirectory on the device, then move them all from that subdirectory into the root directory. You also may need to remove any artwork attached to the mp3 and convert other file formats into mp3. The buttons are poorly made. The shell seems strong, which is good for use with little kids, but it's hard plastic, so little ones could break things with it. The buttons have a lousy feel, pushing them pushes them past the holes they sit in and give no feedback, so, especially when the thing isn't working right, which happens often, you're not quite sure if you've pressed the button hard enough. All that said, there are almost no other products on the market that work as a combined mp3 player/external speaker at all, much less in a case designed for kids with some kind of parent-managed volume control. This seems like a great product for some other company to copy and actually do a good job with.

Il prodotto in sè è molto carino. La forma a orsetto è divertente anche per i bimbi più piccoli. La plastica sembra estremamente robusta e finora ha resistito a numerose cadute. L'audio è un po' basso ma può andar bene per l'uso che se ne deve fare. Scomodi sono i pulsanti. Troppo a filo e pesanti da spingere, posizionati male che non ne consentono un uso agevole ai bimbi più piccoli. Non è comodissimo il fatto che vada aperto con il cacciavite ogni volta che si vuole caricare file da computer ma questo può essere sopportabile. Visto il costo è un prodotto consigliato a metà.

Leider sind die Symbole auf den tasten schlecht zu erkennen .das bedienen der mittleren tasten (Knopfleiste) ist OK aberdie seitlichen tasten sein "Versenkt" und nur schwer zu druecken und reagieren dadurch schlecht.die lautstaerke ist sehr gering und daher wirklich nur für ruhige oder schlafende babys gut.aeltere Kinder können das gerät leider nicht optimal nutzen zb beim spielen Musik hören da man sich direkt neben dem gerät befinden muss um etwas zu hoeren

Cet appareil a eu un petit problème au départ, il était défectueux (mauvais contact entraînant un son très faible quasi inaudible). Comme c'était un cadeau, et que les parents de l'enfant (croyant que c'était dû à leur mauvaise compréhension du mode d'emploi) ne l'ont pas signalé immédiatement, il a fallu quelques semaines pour régler le problème.Mais je dois dire que l'entreprise Baby-Bidou a VRAIMENT été à la hauteur, réparation immédiate, et depuis, mon petit-fils est ravi (moi aussi).C'est un excellent produit, très adapté aux tous-petits. Un seul bémol! il faut impérativement un tournevis cruciforme pour accéder à la prise USB femelle de l'appareil et intervenir sur son contenu (ajout ou suppressions de mp3). Mais on comprend bien que c'est une précaution nécessaire...

Fangen wir mit dem Positiven an! Die Qualität und Verarbeitung des Gerätes ist für kleine Kinder perfekt. Es hält Stürze locker aus und ist hart im nehmen.Die Bedienung der seitlichen Knöpfe ist ziemlich schwer und unser kleiner schafft es leider nicht die Leuter/Leiser Tasten zu drücken oder Vor-/Zurück zu wählen. Die vorderen Tasten gehen wesentlich besser. Die masimale Lautstärke und die Lautsprecherqualität ist für den Preis eher mangelhaft. Bei uns liegt der Bär jetzt leider nach 2-3 mal ausprobieren in der Ecke und unser 2 Jähriger hört seine Musik lieber aus dem alten ausrangierten iPod seines Bruders.Fazit: wir würden dieses Gerät nicht mehr kaufen und auch nicht weiter empfehlen, auch wenn er toll aussieht!
