quality material, comfortable, compact and feel great

I have a pair of Twins Specials I’m replacing, and also tried the Fairtex BVG1 alongside these.I wanted to prefer the Fairtexes at close to half the price, but these are just better all around.My wrist feels much better supported. The Fairtex wouldn’t let my last set of knuckles curl, the end of my fingers kind of laid flat in the glove which didn’t feel like good structure. These ones allow me to make a good fist.The padding on these 14s actually feels a little fuller than the other gloves, which is what I want for sparring. They are not bulky at all though, very noticeably less so than the Twins.The other gloves are well constructed, but the build overall quality is slightly higher on these. Overall I’m a happy camper. I’m glad I tried different options and these were the ones that felt best to me.

I bought the Petroleum 14oz gloves having sold a green pair I had previously. I sold those because they were underweight and I wasn't a fan of the color green they offered.I bought the Petroleum gloves and immediately dug the color!The fit of the glove is amazing. They feel almost completely broken in. I could open my hand easily to parry shots and catch kicks.The padding is on point for sparring and training. I hit the bag with these and they give a nice pop when they make contact. They're really forgiving for your sparring partners as well. The padding is soft but not weak, meaning you won't punch through the padding. I would say they have the softness of a Twins Special glove without being oversized like a Twins glove. The wrist support is ideal for Muay Thai, not too stiff but allows mobility for clinching.The construction is amazing!The double stitching thoughout the gloves made with premium cowhide leather is definitely a highlight. These gloves will last you for a long time(so long as you take proper care of them).The one thing I don't like is the misprint of weight on my previous gloves. They were stamped 14oz but weighed 12oz. I've seen others with this problem as well. Not something to cry over but it is an inconvenience. If you have a food scale, weigh you're gloves before you use them. Make sure you have the right weight before you start sparring with 10oz Gloves.Overall, these are amazing gloves with a lot of thought behind them. They fixed the Velcro/cuff problem and the shape of the gloves are far superior than the old models.I would recommend these to anyone that's looking for a pair of high quality gloves that last.

Used only 2 times a week for rec classes for a few months and the stitching is coming out. Reached out to the seller and they refused to replace because it was outside of the return window. For this price, you are better off going with a different pair.
