Change to square drive!
Changing from Phillips to the much better square drive is difficult if you buy one size at a time. An assortment is much better and less expensive. You only need a couple of drivers.

Better than Phillips by a lot!
If you're not using square drive screws I don't even know what you're doing with your life. The reason for four stars instead of five is that some of the screws in here use a size 1 bit and some a size 2. The size 2 is readily available but the size 1 less so.Be careful! If you're used to phillips drive, where too much torque without enough pressure causes cam out (stripping the head of the screw and the driver), you may find yourself breaking off the screw in your workpiece. The square drive meshes so well that the screw will frequently shear before the bit slips. Use a lower torque setting on your variable torque clutch and drill a pilot hole!

Never going back to Phillips! I am sold. Robertson fans you win!
Have been dealing with regular Phillips screws all my life. After discovering that square drive (also called Robertson drive) is actually a standard in Canada, I decided to try them out and I was sold immediately! The square drive seems superior in every aspect.* The electric screwdriver does not jump out from the screw randomly* The whole experience feels --- how should I say it -- very stable and effortless.Note that:* All #6 screws require drive S1 (Square drive size 1)* All #8 screws require drive S2 (Square drive size 2)Highly recommend it! At least try it out -- you'll never go back.

Love these square drive screws!
These screws sold me on square drive--I love them. After stripping out some cheap screws that came with my curtain rods, I bought these. I had 6 curtain rods to hang, and these worked like a charm. SO much better!
