EchoGorge Mid-Weight Merino Wool Quarter Socks, 4 Pair. Made in USA

These are high quality and made in the USA by a veteran owned company. I bought them for my wife and they are the perfect length. She has standard hiking boots and these come up a couple of inches higher than her boot. They are constructed of high quality materials and look great. We don't yet know how they will hold up during the hike, but if necessary, I will update this review. As an added bonus, they came with a thank you card that was hand signed. Couldn't be happier at this moment.

Like the color and material. Similar to other socks I have owned for years. I am not sure if these are 2nd quality though because I see some mistakes in the pattern and what looks like possible defects that were repaired. Minor though. Still like them.

These socks are just what I wanted, light weight but heavier enough to add some cushion. The quality appears good and the initial fit is excellent. I wear a size 10 men's shoe and ordered the large. They fit fine now but I expect them to be tight once I wash them. I don't separate clothes so these will be washed on warm and dried on high along with my other socks and underwear. I will see what happens. I may reorder the XL size to allow for shrinkage.Update 4/8/19: I washed and dried these the usual way and shrinkage is minimal.

My new favorite socks! I was looking for warm wool socks that 1) weren’t absurdly expensive and 2) weren’t too thick, and these were exactly what I was looking for. They are very warm and comfortable as well as the perfect thickness. I also very much appreciate how thoughtful the company is, sending me a hand-written thank you card. I love these socks. They are soft and provide all the advantages of wool socks without being scratchy and pilling. They are also lighter weight than most wool blend socks, yet are still substantial enough to cushion and absorb. My only suggestion/request would be to make them in a longer calf-length version. I would love to make these my winter socks as well as my warm weather ones, but they are too short. Still, five stars for warm weather use!

I have US men's size 9 to 9.5 feet, and I bought these in size large. Before washing they were a bit loose, but after the first wash and tumble dry they fit perfectly. I've had them for a few weeks now and have been wearing them daily, and they've been through several wash and tumble dry cycles and have not shrunk any more than the initial washing. I wore them on a couple of day hikes and my feet were dry and felt great. The seams are flat and there are no hot spots or pressure points from the toe box, to the arch, to the heel. They fit comfortably and have held up well to daily wear and tear. Great value for 4 pairs. These are my go-to socks.

The XL were very warm and fit my husband’s size 12 feet well, but ordered the size large for me as recommended as I wear size 9 shoe and they were way too big. The medium probably would’ve been better. The XL weren’t too thick for my husband’s shoes, but were warmer than athletic socks.

I work in telecomm and am on my feet up to 6 hours/day. These over-the-ankle socks are perfect for low-cut hikers as they're not too thick, yet still stay warm and breathable with no smell. After washing, the large shrunk down to fit my 10.5 foot just right. The hand-signed note was a nice touch!
