My husband, who is hard of hearing, is happy with them. He previously had used another brand for almost two years. He says these are better because they are not hot after charging, are easier on his ears due to the extra over-the-ear support, last 12 hours on a charge, and he loves being able to turn them off rather than remove them from his ears when I want to talk to him. The ability to turn them off may make the little tips last longer than they did in the other brand when he had to remove them all the time to hear me. He hears the click when turning them off and a hum in one ear but he still likes them better than the brand he had previously. My hearing is normal and I do not hear any hum. He says it looks like you can replace the battery in the headset, which could not be done in the other brand. (It was necessary to send the other brand back to its manufacturer when it no longer charged.)

Too much RF noise with headsets to be usable
The set I got had a loose connection at the base so tape needed to be used to keep the power cord attached. The worst aspect is that at normal volume levels there is a great deal of RF noise with the headset and changing the channel does not make any difference. The volume had to be turned up to two-thirds of maximum volume for the sound from the TV to be greater than the RF noise from the headphones.

Quality sound and long lasting batteries. No batteries last long between charges, but last less than a year.
These units are fantastic. Great sound and have long life battery between charging. Far superior to TV Ears units we previously purchased. Now, 2-16-17 We find that these units do not last and apparently the warranty is not valid. Bought in May 2016, and neither work, despite us them not being used about 6 months of the year (we have 2 homes and stay in each 6 months per year). They are good, except for durability.

Surprisingly clear
Have only had it set up for three days and both my husband and I really are pleased with the clarity of sound. He walked into the kitchen with his TV Ears still on and was surprised that he could still hear the TV set in the other room. Our other ears did not allow us to do that but became very static when away from the TV set. So far, we really like these and look forward to really enjoying our programs.

I tried 2 of these, the first set had a lot of static and interrupted sp ch.. The second one would not turn on at all. I really wanted them to work because I*m tired of buying tv ears as we have had 8 or so and they break very easely and I need a good set of for my 86 year old ears. If anyone knows of a good set that are not to costly I would realiy like to know, thanks.

Your Hearing Will Appreciate
They work great. If you're using the microwave or computer there will be interference. A good purchase. They are heavy so they have clip wraps for the ears. One problem is I have small ear openings & non of the ear buds are small enough. Wear these when I'm on my treadmill so I can hear the tv rather then the noise of the treadmill. The room does not have anything that sucks up the noise.

Great for me...
I use the TrueDio ears for my Movies & TV watching. I can adjust the sound to me level without upsetting anyone else. I find this style works for me because ear buds are on my ear channel rather than having something covering my ears completely, which cause excessive perspiration. The ranges varies from 30 to 50 feet.

both good and bad
These work pretty well and we enjoy being able to have two different volume levels; however, the foam tips are very thin and thus the headphones hurt after a few minutes. Also, the sound sometimes cuts out even if we are right in front of the TV. Additionally sometimes you have to use the on/off switch on the headsets to turn the sound back on when the cutouts occur.
