Island Trading Mens Heavy Weight Cotton Parka Winter Coat Fur Fishtail Long Jacket

It arrived in less than a week which I thought was acceptable at Christmas time. Certainly well packaged, it came in a heavy duty plastic bag & was wrapped in another clear plastic retail bag. It is the standard green colour heavy duty cotton material, very well stitched with 6 pockets, 4 of these had flaps & a button & the other 2 are slit pockets. The Parka is very well lined with darker green material which is very well stitched & comes with spare buttons. There is a very visible company label, Island Trading which demonstrates a quality garment. The Parka is finished with a fur trimmed hood, storm cuffs, a waist drawstring & a heavy duty zipper plus buttons to keep out the cold. I think the material is only shower proof & would benefit from being treated with Scotch guard water repellant spray or similar. Overall, a quality garment for under £40, well worth the money.

Fantastic coat, very warm and well made, fits just fine. I noticed some of the reviews mention the hood when up is restricting ones view. This is true but I found a solution. If you wear a baseball cap the peak will keep the hood above eye level. I wear one some of the time anyway so it is no problem. For the money this is unbeatable.

This is excellent value for money. I have been & am still in Russia, the temperature here has been down at -22C. Thus coat can handle that & I have still been warm. Just a T-shirt & jumper underneath this coat , hat & gloves. Warm as toast!So for those that want to know if this coat will keep out the cold in the UK, this coat is more than up to the job!Good fit, not too tight & not too baggy. This jacket is also hard wearing, I have worn it everyday for the last three weeks in sub-zero temps everyday, all day. Great piece of kit!

Absolutely fabulous! Order your usual size ! Had to send large back and change for medium. Returned on Tuesday and a replacement received in 4 days!! Value for money and efficient service. Well pleased with purchase.

Product arrived quickly, looked like it did in the photos and fit me well. The jacket still fitted me well with a hoodie underneath so I'm happy with the sizing. The product is very well made, looks exactly the same as it did in the photos, so I thank the company for their integrity and looks warm. The length was good too, it covered my thighs when standing. I'm really happy with this product and look forward to wearing it.

Ordered a medium size for my son who is about 5ft 10in and slim and it fits fine round the chest and in the arms. However, it is not what I would describe as long - it comes only to about mid-thigh level. It is lightweight but very warm. The outer material is only a cotton-type fabric, not proofed in any way, so I would expect it would get wet and heavy in the rain. The zip has broken in the couple of months he has had it (luckily it can still be done up with buttons).

This is a great coat - very good value for money. It is well made from quality materials and the trim, buttons and zip are all excellent. I ordered this and a larger size in khaki to ensure that I would get a good fit. Personally, I think the black is much smarter and more attractive but the khaki option is also a good colour if that is your preference - it is quite a deep, rich shade. Very happy with the purchase.
