Indoor/ Outdoor Tide Timer Tide Clock

I am very pleased with this tide clock. The design is appealing and the numbers easy to read. The clock mechanism doesn't seem to be any different than many others but it comes wrapped in a seal tight wrapper so it is weather resistant to the elements. This makes it more durable when placed outside. I would guess that you still shouldn't put it directly outside but on a porch or covered lift by the water should work just fine.Mark me down as a member of the I/O Tide Timer Tide Clock fan club!

I bought this and it was a bit surprised at the plastic construction for the price. The sweep hand worked but the tide hand didn't move. Uh-oh!? I contacted the company and they freely admitted that they had a batch issue with the tide clock mechanism on some recent clocks and immediately sent me a new one. I returned the non-working one and It looks great and it works well. Unique piece. I like it.

Setting took less than two minutes. Set it up in garage near door leading to pier. Works like a champ!

We live on the SC coast and check our tide clock every time we go out..It sure beats the tide chart for a quick look to see how much beach we have to run on.

Bought for our garage. Just tried to set the clock. How cumbersome is the miniature plastic zip lock bag over the battery compartment - to keep it waterproof! I could barely reach the dial to turn the hand to set the clock. Ended up cutting off the bag because it'll be indoors. Next set the clock using the very, very small dial. Next, get battery in. Very, very tight compartment for the AA battery. I expect that to leak one day. Turn over to look at the face to see if it's working. There is a second hand . . . doesn't spin. Waited. Nothing. Clock does not work - returning. Overall the quality of the clock is very poor. The face is paper, the major hand is very wobbly and thin, the plastic housing is cheap. Don't recommend, don't waste your money. - - 15 minutes later - still not working.

Great tide clock and so far it is right on target with the US Harbors tide table for our area. It is very important to set it properly with an accurate tide chart. Easy to read, simple to set.

Love this clock. It is easy to use and we installed it in our outdoor living space where it is protected from the elements, but easy to see. Takes the guess work out figuring out the tides. Highly recommend and will likely purchase another for the upstairs outdoor living area. Bright, easy to see.If you are near the shore, you will enjoy having this as part of your home!If you are a homeowner who rents a place out by the shore, install one of these in your rental and your renters will thank you!
