OEM Part - Exact Fit - Perfect!
So, if you are looking at this item you obviously want to keep your GM vehicle looking new. This is an OEM part that perfectly replaces that broken accessory outlet cover that broke off. There are U-Tube videos that show you exactly how to make the fix. I replaced both of mine in a 2011 Yukon in less than 15 minutes using a small flat bladed screwdriver. Very pleased! Oh yeah, and the part arrived superfast.

Perfect Replacement
No idea if these are an OEM product or aftermarket but they look exactly like the ones I had in my SUV. I only needed one but decided to change out both front ones because these looked nice and new.Do yourself a favor though, buy the removal tool to change these. I will probably never use it again, but made the changing out job a piece of cake. Took less than a minute to remove the old and insert the new.

Works As Advertised, BUT...
For my '11 Chevy Tahoe - First, BUY THE DORMAN lighter socket removal tool. DO NOT go thru the hassle of removing your dash as seen in YouTube videos. With the Dorman tool, you don't need to do that. As others have stated, insert the tool into the tabs in the socket, use a pocket knife or small flat blade screwdriver to separate the broken cover from the socket , but not too much. (Width wise- maybe about the size of a 3x5 index card folded in half). NEXT, remove the tool from inside the socket. You may need to wiggle it up/down and back/forth, but be patient and it'll come out. Once the tool is out, pull everything forward and remove the cover from the socket by pressing the tab. Last note - when putting everything back together, insert the new cover into the whole FIRST. Then, pull the wire thru the cover, plug it into the socket then push the socket back into the hole til it snaps in place. Don't take out your whole dash. The Dorman tool is cheap and made this job easier than it woulda been.

Easy installation, looks original
Only works for 12V cover, does not work for the usb port. Simply snap 12v receptacle through and snap entire assembly into the dash. Looks good. Quality is decent. It is just hard plastic.

Great replacement but get more info from YouTube!
This item is actually better than the original because it swings all the way down rather than part way, lessening the chance of breakage. Easy to install BUT don't depend on included instructions BECAUSE THERE AREN'T ANY! Not a problem though, there are several YouTube videos that show the simple installation process. It's not complicated at all but I can't imagine any included printed instructions being as clear as a video. So it was a good idea not to bother including any, would just make people frustrated. Good item, buy with confidence.

it made it super easy to replace
I was hesitant to replace the outlet covers after seeing several videos that were removing the entire dash panels to get to the outlet covers. I didn't want to risk breaking any of the dash clips just to replace them. I kept searching for this tool that many talked about and finally found it. I also ordered the Dorman 56457 Cigarette Lighter Socket and Removal Tool. With this tool, it made it super easy to replace. The tool was mostly used to push the two clips in. Once you push those clips in and remove the tool, I just used some needle nose pliers to pull the outlet out and I was then able to pull cover out and replace. The first cover took some time to replace since I couldn't figure out how to remove socket tool. Once I figured out how to remove the tool, replacing the second cover was a breeze.Back to the item itself. Covers fit great an no more uncovered outlets.

Exactly the same as my original
Exactly the same as my original. Didn't buy the tool to remove the old one, so it was a bit of a job to remove the panel from the dash and replace the broken cover ... but looks GREAT in the end.
