Replacement Algae Killing Swimming Pool Cleaner Bag With Ultra Fine Mesh

This spring I let the algae get started in my pool before I had opened it up, and had been struggling to remove it from the pool after killing it off with algecide and shock. Even after using a deflocculant it seemed to be too small for my vac and filter yo catch.I bought a slime bag to solve the problem and have been super impressed. I fit a pvc adapter with a garden hose threaded onto it with some hose clamps, and attached it to a small submersible pump and within 2 days I now have a clear pool. Im kinda amazed how well it cleared the particles I had been fighting for 2 weeks.I only gave it a 4 due to the high cost, but it did work very well, after I had figured out how to attach it to a pump

This thing works. I had a bad opening and had tried just about everything else. Three days after using this pool is clearer than I've ever seen. Clean up is difficult, but even if I need to purchase another next year it would be worth the money.

This is an excellent product if you have filter sand and silt pumping into your pool, and can't or don't want to fix the real problem until the season is over. My pool filter was pumping sand into my pool shortly after the season started. I didn't want to shut down the pool to work on the filter in the summer heat, and especially if something else were to go wrong and have a messy pool in season. Fortunately I found the Slime Bag and skeptically purchased it. It filters way better than your actual pool filter and does not allow any sand or silt into the pool. In fact my pool water is crystal clear and has never looked better. Now for the down side. Depending on how bad your problem is, you will have to take the Slime Bag off every 2 to 4 days, and thoroughly wash it out with a. powerful hose. That is more annoying than it sounds. If you don't clean it before it gets too dirty, the pump may blow it right off the fitting, and perhaps more importantly it puts a lot pressure on your pump, and risks burn out. It is a temporary solution. It could come in handy at season startup if your pool is very cloudy from silt, or algae. I run it on recirculate mode since it filters better than your sand filter.

I bought this product to try to get my pool cleaned up.The bag came & it was solid white & didn’t look like the one in the picture that had “The Slime Bag” written in lime green. Although the plastic bag had a cardboard piece at the top that said it.1st off it comes with a small tiny little clamp that fit absolutely nothing on my pool. I ended up trying to stretch the bag over some of the stuff I already had & trying to zip tie it into place. If I had known that I was going to be paying a fortune for a bag that I would then have to figure out how to rig it to get it to work I would have just searched on Amazon for a “1 micron filter bag” & bought that & rigged it up to work & probably only had $10 in it.I was finally able to get this bag attached to my pool but it radically increased the pressure on my whole system & finally blew it off into the pool. Well the problem is that I wasn’t able to see it because my pool water was too dirty.I finally broke down & bought an “Inline cartridge filter” & attached it after my sand filter to filter everything down to a smaller size.If the return line on your po is really small & your are running something smaller than a 1_1/2hp pump then it may work for you. For me, it wasn’t worth the time & effort spent on it.

I wish I would have found this sooner!!! I was having issues with cloudy water and couldn't figure out the problem. Was it from sun screen and stuff, was it the city water, were my chemical levels off? I tried everything to no avail. While searching for answers, I came across this little guy. I hooked it up and set the filter to run right after the kids got out of the pool before all the dust and what not could settle and in no time, the pool was nice an clean again and stays that way thanks to the "Slime Bag". I was amazed to see how much dirt came out of it when I washed it out. The first couple of times there was quite a bit but now, I only clean it about once every 2 weeks because it does it's job so there is not much for it to collect each time. I will buy another one of these for next season. :) I Highly recommend it.

I wish I found this earlier. My water was cloudy. I could barely see the bottom in the shallow end, 3 feet. The pool water looked like watered down milk. My fault, I opened the pool late and the water temp was over 80 degrees. The chemical levels were good and I was at my wit's end until I ran across this product. I had to use traditional hose clamps to mount on my return jets. It took me a while to figure it out. The included clamps would not hold it. Once installed, it was magic. In a few hours, I could already see a significant difference in the water clarity. I left the bags on for 3 days. Now, I can see the bottom of the pool from inside the house. Great product. I used one bag on each return, 3 bags.

The media could not be loaded.  The annual return to service for my pool has required hours of vacuuming to waste the silt and algae and paying $100s to refill the pool. When I found The Slime Bag, I thought that was history, but as you can see in the video, the algae comes right back into the pool through the Bag. I have 2 of them on the return lines to the pool and both do the same thing. They are tight at the connection to the piping.

The slime bag works!!! My pool became super cloudy . SO Cloudy. You could not see the bottom of the pool. couldnt even see the 2nd step down on the ladder. If i turned my pump off, whatever was causing the cloudiness would settle, but it was so so so fine that no vacuum i tried would suck it up. It would just get shot right back out into the water.I wish i tried this bag sooner! Its so super fine mesh that after running the pump with it attached for 2 days, my pool is not cloudy at all anymore! I dont leave reviews often, but i felt compelled to share my success for others having the same problem.
