Freaks & Geeks represents a timeless exploration into...Oh, what the heck am I saying?! This show was flat-out funny, extremely touching and packed with some of the generation's best tunes. But even the show's creators have said that the best part of the series is each song woven into the show's intricate patchwork of natural hilarity - making this, my friends, one of the most rewarding soundtracks around.Older listeners may recall their own experiences with songs like "Look Sharp!", "Come Sail Away" and "The Spirit of Radio."But younger ones like myself will forever remember the tunes as they relate to the painfully awkward experiences of Sam and Lindsay Weir - debuting the Perisian nightsuit, suffering that first dance and reluctantly dropping more dry ice in the bucket.(Or, if you've caught the deleted scenes, "Come Sail Away" may remind you of something completely different!)Original score numbers by Michael Andrews tie all tracks together in an audible representation of all 18 episodes. And not only does this CD have a whopping 25 tracks, but the last four riff straight off the show! I have loved this show since I saw its original airing. Was lucky enough to have seen all eighteen episodes and then later to have noticed they released the show in a DVD box set. When watching the show on DVD I really liked to listen to all the little snipets for each of the episodes on the episode menus and was lucky enough again to find that they were all on this soundtrack and so had to have it. They absolutely make the collection of songs flow and automatically transport you back to the show. There are some conspicuous absences in this soundtrack but you can only get so much music on a disc. A great job was done by all who assembled this little reflection on what is arguably one of the greatest television shows of all time. If you have any real liking for this show, the addition of this soundtrack to your music collection is a no-brainer. It can serve as a great classic rock collection when you are in the mood and as a reminder of the heart and soul that went into the production of this amazing show. I highly recommend it.

I decided to check out F&G after reading about the series in Vanity Fair. Just looking at the 'before they were stars' cast was enough to interest me, but I was also intrigued by Judd Apatow and his writing and his movies was also a draw. This is an enjoyable series that was perhaps cut too short - or because it was, left the actors and writer wanting more. And that turned out to be a good thing.

Of course, they couldn't fit the entire 100 songs played in the show, but the ones they selected were great! Especially when the actors sang, 'Lady L' and 'Jesus is Just Alright' and 'I'm Eighteen' were awesome!

The nostalgia factor for me is huge. I love the show. I love the music. Enough said.

Freaks and Geeks is an all time favourite show of mine. This album has songs and musical score peices. It has Jason Segal doing 'Lady L' too. So if you're a big fan of the show and liked the music you will like this.

I really enjoyed listening to the soundtrack. If your a fan of this series, then buy this CD. You will not be disappointed.

ドラマ『フリークス学園』のサントラです。（待ってました！）OP曲Bad Reputation - Joan JettはもちろんED曲も収録されています。80年代に活躍した有名所　XTC、Rush、The Who、Styx等の楽曲も入っていて豪華だと思います。ドラマ内でニックがリンジ－の為に作った歌「Lady L」やビールパーティーでミリィとニックが歌った「Jesus Is Just Alright」がちゃんと入っていてドラマのシーンを思い出して思わず笑ってしまいました（笑）ロッソ先生が歌った「Eighteen」「Up On Cripple Creek」もなかなか良かったです。この曲あの場面で流れていたなと思いながら聴いていて、とても楽しかったです。ロッソ先生のライナーノーツも付いて来ますよ＾＾『フリークス学園』好きの人にはたまらないCDになっていると思います！
