I've never used another type of colloidal oatmeal so I can't compare. But I love this for moisturizing my skin and hair. I wash my hair like normal with shampoo and conditioner then pour this over it and lightly rinse. I mix about a teaspoon to a tablespoon with a few ounces of water in a dye applicator bottle I got from Sally and then let it sit for a few minutes while I shave It makes your hair feel really slick while it's in it. My hair always seems smoother after using this. I used to have pretty curly hair but it's falling out as I get older. My curl seems to come in much better when I use this.I've tried no-poo before and had never heard of this. If I had I might have stuck with it because my skin and hair can't seem to get enough of this. Oatmeal is actually a mild cleanser. Unfortunately I'm not quite ready to go through all the trials and tribulations of transitioning to no-poo again quite yet. But for anyone considering no-poo, I would highly recommend looking into this if the traditional baking soda/apple cider vinegar thing doesn't work for you. This is much more gentle, so I would even recommend you consider skipping the harshness of baking soda and just going straight to this or something similarly gentle.I also add a few teaspoons to baths and it makes my skin so soft.I also found out that this is AMAZING for shaving. I haven't wasted my money on shaving cream since I was a teen. I used to just use soap but was looking for a replacement because my skin was getting too dry. This fit the bill perfectly. I put it in the same dye applicator bottle and squeeze it onto whatever I need to shave. It won't stay (because it's liquid) in one spot forever so it's best to do small patches. It makes my razor slide over my skin and cut through the moisturized hair so easily. I'm so in love with it.My dog also has extremely flaky skin and coarse hair. I've tried sooo many things. And while changing his diet and adding salmon oil has done the most good. This has also made him extra moisturized and soft. I usually just use the oatmeal mixture on him and no soap (he's an indoor dog so he stays pretty clean). Colloidal oatmeal is a very gentle cleanser so it does a good job of removing the minimal dirt he usually has on him. But if I do need to use soap (if he's gotten into something gross or dirty) this keeps his skin from drying out. I just get him wet. Use my bottle to squirt the oatmeal mixture all over him. Massage it in. Let it sit for as long as my pooch will let me. Rinse lightly. He looks wonderful after his baths.

I got this for my son's mysterious skin breakout that his doctor could not figure out what it was. He had ruled out hand foot and mouth disease which was great, but could not say if it was eczema or an allergy to something. We added it to the kid's bath and I think it helped. Dissolved pretty fast in the water and did not clog the drain or pipes.

The product doesn't dissolve in water compared to the Aveeno Colloidal Oatmeal. I still believe it is useful in calming inflammation of the skin. You certainly get a better value in ounce compared to Aveeno. I take the undissolved parts and rub them in the skin and wash it off later. I am still undecided if I would purchase it again.

I love this stuff I've bought from Molly's products several times now and every time I'm never disappointed. The product is high-quality goes a long way works wonderfully for the skin. Originally I bought it because my little one had a yeast infection and is helped take down the inflammation and softened her skin. I took a bath in it myself and my skin felt so soon as I couldn't believe it. I will buy from this company again as I have The past three times. It has multiple uses and is a great thing to keep it home!! I would recommend it to anyone you get the best bang for your buck if someone's on a budget you're always pleased with this product. Also if you buy two or more bags you want up getting a bag free that's an amazing deal itselfBut try it for yourself and I promise you you won't be disappointed

Weve been using this is our kids bath daily for 4 years. Nothing could get rid of our sons eczema. We tried creams, ointments, allergy exclusions in food, lotions, everything. Nothing worked so I went old school... and old school worked. Oatmeal baths and Cerave did the trick. This has never clogged our tub. It dissolves completely with a little swishing and mashing. It does not have any smell either. Nice and clean. We have had maybe one or 2 breakouts over the past 4 years on a child that use to bleed at every joint on his body. This has been a life saver for us. No antihistamine or steroid meds for us! And yes... it's expensive but worth the trade off when your child is off meds and thriving.

Arrived on time. Was well packaged. Bought it to try an oatmeal bath due to an extreme case of eczema. Didn't really stop the itching. Did leave my skin feeling soft but no effect on itchiness I was having. Perhaps it would work for other people or on a milder case of eczema.

I used this product for its quality as a bath, and i gotta say, it rocks! The more you use the better (though a cup for a full bath is sufficient). What i have done is this: Shower and clean first, then fill tub and add powder into the stream. Then all you have to do is prop something behind you head and relax.. and try not to fall asleep. They say 15 minutes is all you need, and they say that because there is this gelatin like coating over your whole body, not visible but definitely slick to the touch. That is the healing property you really seek here, because it serves as a nourishing barrier for this skin. Try not to wipe it off when you dry though, rather "pat" down everything to maintain maximum effectiveness. Enjoy softer, brighter, healthier looking skin overnight! Just try it!!!
