This piece was hand-crafted from solid teak wood native to the Golden Triangle region of northern Thailand. It was lovingly made in a family studio by artisans in the village of Ban Twai. Ban Twai is widely renowned for its woodworking handicrafts. Woodworking has been a traditional Thai art form for hundreds of years, with the ancient techniques passed down from generation to generation.
