Beautiful material and quality make, just don't plan to use it as a hood.
I purchased this item as a partial scarf/hood option. Usually a "snood" is an optional hood, however this one is not wide enough to cover the head and still reach down and cover the back of the neck. If you pull it up over your head, your neck is then exposed. That said, it is really well made, beautiful colors, and the materials are excellent quality. I am keeping it as an infinity scarf, sort of option. Also, you cannot see in the picture very well, but one end of the neck opening cinches up with a cord and has some really beautiful furry tassels on the ends of the cord.

Ordered two of them
I bought one for a gift and when it came I loved it so much I kept it (I know that doesn't sound good). So I wore it out to lunch with my mother and she loved it so much she wanted me to order her one which I did. So I would say it's very warm and the colors are beautiful. The strings which attach the pom-poms look a little frayed and I'm not quite sure what to do with them... but other than that the scarf is great!!

Beautiful colors and well made. The velvet on the inside is very cozy and warm. I totally recommend Terra Nova.
