So far, so good. It really puts the heat out. It has 4 controls. One for the light (Fire). One for 650watt and another switch to boost the wattage. Then there is a dial for the thermostat. It actually looks very nice. It is not a table top size. It sits on the floor and looks like a small stove/heater. We have it in a 15 x 19 room and it keeps it very comfortable.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This heater log set has all the features of sets that cost twice as much. 6 dimmer light settings, 2 heater settings, and an EASY remote control. You should be aware of a few important details. I measured quite carefully and the log set fit perfectly INTO the grate of my gel fuel fireplace firebox. That was a no-no. The grate of the firebox blocked the air outlet for the heater. Which kicked in the safety overheat feature and cut the heater off. Glad to know that works! So I lifted the log set up on good solid bricks inside the firebox/original grate and the heater works perfectly.I also noticed that the holographic flames are much more pronounced if there is enough space behind the log set. So pull the logs as far forward in your fireplace as possible for better effects. Very happy, nice and toasty. BTW, the only sound it makes is a very quiet fan noise ONLY when the heater is going. Glow and flames alone have no sound.UPDATE: I have been using this log set now for almost a month. My house heater went out so I've been using it almost constantly day and night. It is still working great, both heat and flame effects.

Small but cute. Artificial flame us very realistic. Not a lot of heat output. Difference between low and high is negligible. Does not heat small enclosed patio room as is claimed. Disappointing but not worth the effort to return. Did not come with any instructions.

Was missing two screws - paperwork said there would be 14 but there were only 10 so two of the legs are held on by two screws instead of three until I get time to go to the hardware store and pick up a few.Other than that I'm very pleased so far - I've just had it a few days so don't know how well it will hold up. I bought this to use in an RV and two specific features I wanted were a thermostat and a low power setting. This unit has both of those features and the thermostat is an analog dial instead of a digital LED type like a lot of these heaters have. This is better for me as all I have to do when I get it out of my storage area in the RV is to set it where I want it, plug it in and turn it on. No adjustments needed as the power switch and thermostat are set where I want them. I have been using a small electric space heater with digital controls and every time I plug it in I have to go through the menu to get to the setting I want - this will be much more convenient. I also really like the way it looks and the ambience provided by the flame effect. I measured the power draw and found that the flame display alone pulls about 3 watts - yes watts not amps. On low power the draw is just under 700 watts and at high power it is about 1400 watts.

The good:The colors of this machine are brilliant and the fan is relatively quiet. How easy the machine is to install totally depends on how you are installing it. I am building a custom cabinet for it, so my installation will be considerably easier than some others, since there is no doubt it is going to fit perfectly.The Bad:The front cover was mildly out of shape on arrival, and the fasteners attaching it did not exactly line up to the attachment brackets to support attachment. Due to this, I had to do some adjusting of the attachment hardware on the cover (minor bending). Thankfully the packing is secure, which I believe is why the front glass didn’t break during shipping.The remote control looks like it’s from a $5.00 remote control car from the 1980’s, and it performs about the same.... poorly. Some of the buttons (flame light color adjustment, temperature, and fan) either don’t work reliably or stick when you depress them. This sticking condition is especially true for the temperature adjustment, which is extremely annoying because the temperature setting just keeps going up and up and up, until it gets to the high point (Mid 80’s) and starts back over in the 60’s. It continues to do this until you unstick the button. Other buttons take a considerable amount of mashing before the device responds, no matter how close the remote is to the machine.You’re getting what you pay for with this product. There are other products out there that cost more, and probably have better quality. I won’t be returning it because as a responsible consumer, you have to manage your expectations when you’re purchasing a product that is cheaper than its competition.If however the manufacturer reads this before I have an opportunity to email them about my issues, and would like to resolve them for me, I’ll gladly edit my review.

THIS PRODUCT WAS EASY TO INSTALL & AS IT IS ADVERTISED, THE COLORS ARE AMAZING. HOWEVER, I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE HOOKS INSIDE THE GLASS WERE A LITTLE BENT & THERE APPEARED TO BE A SCRATCH ON THE INSIDE OF THE GLASS AS IF IT WERE ALREADY USED. THE COMPANY OFFERED ME A DISCOUNT ON MY NEXT PURCHASE BUT NEVER SPECIFIED HOW MUCH OF A DISCOUNT IT WOULD BE. AND THE ONLY PRODUCT TBEY SEEM TO HAVE ARE THESE FIRE PLACES😑.

Very nice looking stove and does put out great heat. This is my second fireplace stove and this unit heats much better then the first one I had. My only concern is this I should have realize the size different, My error. Unit is small this myprevious unit, but this unit does the job for my Sunroom during the cool days here in the south.
