Good product
I have a very skittish toy fox terrier and after spending some time getting him adjusting to the fairly quiet whirring sound this item makes, he takes it very well. I have two because I lost my adapter plug for the first one but I'm not sorry to have them both as we'll be using them for a long time. My dog gets a sleepy look after awhile and I find it a much more relaxing process than clipping his nails as they are black and I never know if I'm cutting too much. Takes about 15-20 minutes to do all feet. I give him short breaks between feet. The package comes with some extra sanders and I haven't had to order any extras yet so I don't know how difficult it will be to obtain them.

MUCH BETTER THAN CLIPPERS
I love the idea that I don't need to clip my dogs nail. The machine works ok, sometimes the sand paper rolls don't spin but otherwise works fine

Works great!
I bought the Peticure over the pedipaws because of the reviews. Whenever I would use regualar claw clippers, my dog's claws would split and have jagged edges. With Peticure, it trims them right down and has smooth edges. The nail guard keeps nail dust from flying all over but it does fall out of the holes a little. Other than that, I am very pleased.

Twenty Seven Bucks To The Garbage
We charged the unit for the required 3 three hours. When we switched it on the charge lasted literally 2 to 3 seconds and then went dead. It only worked while plugged in to the charger. When we went to use the unit about two weeks later it wouldn't switch on at all even when plugged in. I took the guard section and was able to force it onto my Dremel (a similar type of rotary device that doesn't have a guard) and it was reasonably workable even though we were only using about 15% of the device we just paid nearly $30 for. Anyway, despite almost an hour of trying to coax our Chihuahua into letting us do his nails, it was to no avail. The little monster would have none of it, biting us every time we touched his paws.In conclusion, if the battery wasn't a piece of garbage and our dog wasn't so unwilling to have us do his paws this unit might have scored 4 or even 5 stars. It's a sound concept but didn't work out so well for us. Back to the vet again for us. And again. And again.

You Cannot Get a Pet Nail Trimmer That is Better!
This is the second Peticure we have bought. We wore the first one out! It does what it says perfectly. Our dog is so used to it he just sits there and is so calm -- The best Pet Nail Trimmer out there...Worth every cent we spent on it!

Safety Guard Missing
I already had a Peticure Petite. I've used it for about 3 years on my dogs and had no complaints. However, the old one would not hold a charge anymore - in fact, even when it was plugged in, it ran weakly. No big deal - it was more than worth the money, so I figured I would just order another one. The one pictured here is EXACTLY what I ordered - but it is not what I received. I received the Peticure but NO safety guard was included(the head that goes over the drill and catches the nail debris). There were no instructions that even showed that part should be in the box - I still have the box the first one I bought came in and there were pictures of every piece. This box was exactly the same, but it did not include the color pictures of each piece. In fact, the instructions alluded to "accessories" that were not included. However, the picture shown here DOES have the safety guard on it - so that's what I should have received and I will challenge the seller that they need to send me that part. However,if they do not, I still have the old one and will use that. Other than this current problem, I love this product because I do not want to hurt one of my critters by clipping their nails. I have done that accidentally a couple of times and I cried over it. Sometimes, my dogs don't want to sit still because it's a rather long process using the Peticure, but other times, they like the attention and just doze off while I'm filing. I do recommend the Peticure.

I am really happy with this nail trimmer.
Bought this as a replacement for the same type I had purchased years ago when this first came out. Mine was starting to not hold a charge and considering it has probably been about 5 or six years ago that I got the first one I am really happy with this nail trimmer. My dogs are so use to this they actually do not mind sitting and having their pedicure!

it is okay, but would not buy again. ...
it is okay, but would not buy again. It spins too slowly for long or large nails. Works okay on tiny nails.
