I have had bursitis in both my hips for over 10 years. Gone through every treatment known to man except surgery and nothing took my pain 100% away. Finally was told by my Doctor to take 2 Aleve twice a day. Well, I did that for several years and it never really helped plus exposed me to all the side effects of this medication. Fast forward to last fall and I was told to try Tumeric. I noticed relief within 24 hrs. I take 1000 mg in the morning and my hips haven't bothered me for one second since starting. BTW I am a very busy ER nurse and Flightnurse who works 12 hr shifts pounding on hard floors. Tumeric has many other properties so do the research !! I am absolutely a believer in it's anti-inflammatory properties. BTW I have stopped taking Aleve, Don't need it anymore. So far so good. Except there were some empty capsules. Why my latest purchase of turmeric curcumin, the color of the capsules were not the same as the ones i bought the first time?

I tried this product for chronic pain and inflammation due to tendinitis and other inflammatory issues I have. Before taking this product, I needed to use Icy Hot gel every night in order to reduce the burning sensation from the pain so that I could fall asleep. After taking this product, I noticed that I was not reaching for my Icy Hot gel anymore and there was much less burning and pain. I thought it was my imagination or maybe just a coincidence since my pain is affected by the weather and barometric pressure changes in the atmosphere. I ran out of the turmeric curcumin and didn't reorder it right away and I noticed that I was again reaching for my Icy Hot, so I reordered. The turmeric capsules arrived while I was out of town and my husband opened the package and started taking them and said it helped him as well! I would recommend this product. It really does work!

Turmeric is something I believe to be beneficial in general, and it's something I intend to incorporate into my diet long term. I started taking these for sore knees, and I'm taking them in conjunction with a glucosamine supplement (and special insoles). My knees are improving, although I obviously don't know how much is due to what. I don't think that I will continue to purchase this specific brand because I honestly don't know how much turmeric I'm getting, as the capsules are filled so inconsistently. I included a picture of three randomly drawn capsules. Some are pretty much filled, but many of them look like these.

I started using Helix organic turmeric curcumen complex in February. I have some arthritis in my wrist which bothers me a lot when shoveling snow. I noticed within a couple of weeks quite a bit of change in the time it took me to recover after shoveling. I ordered another brand which had a stronger dosage. I looked at the reviews which were also great and wanted to see if a stronger dosage made a difference. After 3 weeks on the newer product, I felt that my wrist was actually a little worse. I went back to the Helix brand, and I'm very happy. Of course I wish the feeling in my wrist would totally go away, but I will not complain since this product actually made me a lot more comfortable.

This is only my second week of use, so I could not give a thorough reactions yet. Any supplement should be at least a 3 full months of use before fully justify the health effects. But as my initial evaluations of this item is impressive. It doesnt give me any upset reaction on my stomach, no after taste or strange smell of my breath, it glides very smooth upon swallow and most of all I feel proud every time I take (twice a day) this 'coz I know I am ingesting something really good for my health.

I ordered these after my doctor recommended tumeric for arthritis. The jury is still out on this one; I am not sure if they are helping or not. I guess I don't feel any worse than I did. My doctor likes to recommend more natural remedies for ailments as often as possible because quite often taking some meds just causes problems somewhere else. She did show me a study where tumeric was actually recommended by the Mayo Clinic for arthritis.
