This is enough resin to refill 2) 10 inch clear refillable filters. 2. 5 pound bag of mixed bed DI resin for spot free water. This is enough resin to refill (2 +) 10 inch filters. This is mixed bed and color changing resin. Both cation and anion resins are combined in this one bag. Color changing resin available, color changes as resin is used up. We also offer bulk Anion and bulk Cation resins. This is enough for 4 refills of our refillable Clear Canister. RESINTECH MBD-30 is a self indicating mixed bed resin. It is a mix of nuclear grade hydrogen and hydroxide form resins. The anion resin is a Type I strongly basic gel resin with an indicator dye that changes from blue to colorless as the resin exhausts. The cation component is a strong acid sulfonated polystyrene gel type cation exchange resin. During exhaustion, as the indicator dye changes color, the appearance of the mixed bed changes from a green color to a violet color. Many manufacturing processes require high purity water for washing, rinsing and test purposes. Not all processes requiring demineralized water need the ultimate quality. However, they may require multi-megohm resistivity water. RESINTECH MBD-30 is designed to provide demineralized water with a resistivity in excess of 10 megohm. It is specially intended for use in cartridge applications with clear (see through) housings. Such systems are typically designed without meters and rely on the changing color of the mixed bed resin to indicate exhaustion. In typical operation there is a safety line at the exit end of the cartridge, and when the color change reaches that level, the cartridge is considered exhausted and exchanged for a fresh cartridge. I usually go through oneFilter every 2 weeks. Since I’ve used this resin to refill an old filter. It’s still going strong and looks as though it will outlast the old filters and then some! Great value!Updated: I am never buying pre-filled filters again! They never last me more than 2 weeks, but this stuff lasted almost an entire month!!!! Changed it on May 3rd and it's just now spent on May 29th!! Great stuff!!!! ### ⭐ It is a regenerative DI-resin. It doesn’t work that well. *by on Reviewed in the United States March 25, 2023* First of, the product is NOT new/fresh. It is regenerated. It came with a household 1-gal size ziplock bag, sealed with a household sealer. It was wet and you can see water condensation inside the bag. Not an air seal bag. The weight is supposed to 2.5lbs, not sure about the weight since I didn’t measure it. Here is the problem. I have a 4-stages RO + 3 stages DI-resin. This will be replacing 3rd stages DI-resin for my saltwater fish tank. I gave it a tried overnight and this Di-resin can only reduce the water TDS values from 50 down to 22 and not 0, unlike another brand that I used before would immediately reduce the TDS value down to zero. Here is another problem. Because it is wet therefore it is not good for a long time storage as it will grow mold in few weeks. The sellers should have indicated that this is a regenerated DI-resin or make the buyer aware. I will not be buying this product as it is wasting my time and causing problems to my fishtank as it is not very affective. See my pictures and make your own decision.
