I was a little skeptical at first but I threw them on and ran 6 miles the first day and they felt great. If you want to run into your old ...
I've been running for over 30 years. Ever since my knee blew out about three years ago from heel striking I've been running barefoot style. (Read the book: Born to Run)It took a while to get it down, but that's the way I run now. When I got injured I had a pair of $200.00+ Brookes running shoes which I have been wearing for over three years. I run about 25 miles a week so that's a lot of miles. Anyway, the Brooke's finally gave out and so I bought these.I was a little skeptical at first but I threw them on and ran 6 miles the first day and they felt great. If you want to run into your old age buy some shoes like these and learn how your body was naturally engineered to run in the first place.

Minimalist?
Just got these shoes, and I'm a little confused...thought they were supposed to be minimalist. They are not lightweight shoes, I have regular sneakers that are lighter than these shoes. They are more than twice the weight of a pair of Vibram Five Fingers. Will most likely return them unfortunately. They are relatively comfortable and look like the pics, but minimal/barefoot shoes are not supposed to be heavy. Lightweight is one of the key features, and these fail. For anyone interested in shoe weight, as they don't list it: my size 11.5 in this shoe was 12oz. For reference, my Five Fingers are 5.2oz. That's more than double the drag on your feet.

Best Minimalist Shoe for The Money
Update 7/11/18I had stopped running a few years ago due to what I believed to be arthritis in my left ankle. Then, though I still wore minimalist shoes, I never ran in them because at the pace and distance I was running, my feet just could not take the pounding...even with good running form. Now, I've started running again at a much slower pace, slightly faster than a trot... these shoes! I am up to 2 miles on asphalt and my feet feel fine. My goal is three miles 5x/week. I wear these shoes all the time now, not just for running...and they are still very comfortable. Tread is wearing down a bit as to be expected. So, no concern there. Wear is wear. Yep, increasing my rating to five stars and will seriously consider buying that second pair.Oh, while these may be quick drying, I don't recommend them for the beach. They are essentially a sand trap. Sand and other gritty material will enter through the larger holes, but will not escape. You'll have a very uncomfortable experience. No, leave these at home and wear very open sandals on the beach if anything.==================I hope I don't regret not buying two pairs of these shoes. They are the best priced, most comfortable minimalist shoes I've ever worn. My Xero shoes are falling apart due to some design features that these don't have. As of now, I can only expect them to last as long or longer than the Xeros. Even if they don't, at 1/3 the cost, I can easily by another pair and still be ahead.

Works on my atypical terms
First off, I'm a literal bare-footer; walk and run foot-naked on concrete, trails, gravel, into pretty cold temps. Second, haven't worn a heel or narrowed forefoot-shoe since the early 80's.So seeing that these shoes appeared genuinely foot-shaped, including a properly contoured out-sole, wanted to try. Yep, they're running shoes all right, heel elevated, arch support... ugh.But wait, that's just the insole. Take that out, you have a proper flat, non-foot-distorting shoe; a respectable 'barefoot' shoe [the worst-ever oxymoron].Taking an insole out of a shoe usually makes it baggy... it's not designed for that. But here, because the material is elasticized a bit, it wraps well to the foot even without the insole. It's foot-contoured uncompromisingly, including the sole's arches: That makes it move more in accord with the foot walking running etc., where even the best barefoot shoes can feel a bit baggy down under, even while they provide proper space for the whole foot.Could do without the polka-dots and spots, but I guess that's pretty modest compared to most garish running shoes. The only other footwear getting 5 stars from me are the soc-mocs; Leguano and Skinners.

Bitchin Barefoot Shoes for Ladies
I never write Amazon reviews, but these shoes are actually amazing. They feel very well-built and are super comfortable!! I've been looking for a pair of barefoot shoes for ages, to help with ankle support and running, and these fit the bill to a T! I plan on using them as everyday shoes as well as hiking or running shoes. I don't even want to take them off.As a woman I was worried they wouldn't fit my feet properly (i'm usually a 38 and ordered 39s) couldn't be happier with them. For the price this is an absolute steal!! 😁😁😁

Great shoe for minimalist running - be cautious though
If you're like me, you opted for these as your 1st pair of zero drop shoes before spending much more on Vibrams or some other well-known brand. I have nothing to compare it to but I really liked them. They give you a lot of feeling. Now - I will also say that if this is your 1st pair of zero drop shoes, be CAREFUL. Even though I went 'easy' compared to my normal running, it was too much too soon and I lost about 3-4 weeks of running due to injury. You will be exacting a toll on your tendons and muscles like never before and if you go too hard, it will be too late when you realize what you've done. Go SLOW, then build up to them. That's the best advice I can give. Not a knock against the shoe at all.I really liked them, but just be smart about it.

Awesome shoe for woman too
These shoes are just awesome, just awesome. I wear Vibram's all the time, however, they are hard for driving a stick shift. So I needed a replacement that were as comfortable as Vibram's but more padding on the ball of the foot to drive a car with. Viola Troadlop!!! I am female and i bought the blue/green version. This pair is adorable. I have wider feet so any woman's styles are to narrow. My foot measures 10 1/4 inches, I usually wear a 91/2 womans wide, or 10 medium width. I did read other reviews and noticed that the comments were that this shoe ran small, but not narrow. I took my chance and ordered the 9 mens. The fit was just right. The shoe gives one the minimalist feeling of Vibrams, but just a little more padding. The inner sole is just so comfortable. This is ow my go to shoe if I have to drive and shop. I love this shoe!!!
