My son and I sat down and snelled about 25 of them. They made a great looking leader. We've caught a few fish with them and find they really hook the fish well!! Most hookings set deeply in the fishes boney mouth parts or turn and go through the gill plate armor! I have to admit that I was skeptical at first but for the price it was worth the risk. I normally spend upwards of 4-4.50 for 10 hooks so 6.99 for 100 seemed too good to be true…..well it wasn’t!First the good: the price is awesome! They seem to be fairly sturdy and mimic the Gamakatsu hooks I normally buy. The points are plenty sharp enough. They catch fish! I have already caught plenty of walleye, sheephead, suckers, bass and many other species with them and can’t really blame the hooks for the ones I missed on. They tend to hook the corner of the mouth as they were designed to.Now the cons: they do bend a little easier than Gamakatsu (but I haven’t had any bend out on me with fish) but for the price I still consider it a win. Makes it a lot easier just junk a hook instead of trying to bend it back into shape…I did receive 1 out of the 100 that was bent right out of the bag and the eyelet wasn’t even attached.
