Decent for the price. Yamaha Bolt 2014
Received an installed a couple of hours ago. No instructions or diagrams with the product so it took a couple of tries to get everything assembled in the correct order. Typical for these Chinese products. I also had to get some shorter bolts than the supplied ones and spacers to mount it. I guess you could use the stock bolts but there would be a strain on them as the rack is wider than the frame rails by about an inch. All holes aligned up perfect. Spacers were 13mm and the new bolts were M8 x 70mm. They barely stick out past the fender nuts so no cutting was required. Overall I'm pretty happy with the looks and quality. The back pad is pretty cheesy but usable. I doubt it will last long in the Arizona heat. Paint is OK but not great. Considering the price, which went up $20.00 since I bought mine, this is a decent value. Looks good on the bike

Terrible Product
When I got it in the mail there were a few scuffs on the paint. There are NO instructions. Worst off, I found some videos online on how to install this, and apparently there are some washers used when installing this. They were not included. The bolts that hold it all together will only screw in from the outside (which looks ugly), and aren't even long enough to get through the backrest portion, let alone go through the luggage rack and side mount portions. There are NO holes in the backrest to screw it on, so had to handle that myself. This is without a doubt one of the worst things I have ever spent money on. The manufacturers should be ashamed for selling such a shoddy piece of crap.

What you pay for, but not bad.
Ok, so like other reviews said, the hardware on this kit sucks. I ended up replacing the bolts with M8x70, 1.25 thread, on all four spots with ~11mm spacers and a little rubber washer to help protect the paint underneath as shown in the pictures. They do stick out a little in the fender but I don't think there going to hit the tire. You could almost go maybe M8x60, I might try that later and see how it looks. I also replaced the small bolts that attach the top areas with ones that are black (to match) and that were just slightly longer, I don't know why they provided bolts that seem weirdly short for getting thru all the parts. Outside of that putting together is relatively simple, just look at the pictures.Pro tip: When attaching the top,and the rack to the sidearms do not tighten the bolts down till all the bolts are in. 1000% easier. In conculsion you'll need:4 M8x70 (or 60) with 1.25 thread4 ~11 to 13mm metal spacers4 rubber washers (optional)4 slightly longer top bolts (sorry don't remember the size just take the old ones with you and get the next length up.)

Works for Yamaha SCR 950 & Bolt!
This was an experimental purchase b/c neither Yamaha nor aftermarket have developed a sissy bar, backrest or luggage rack for the SCR 950. This backrest/luggage bar is intended for the Yamaha Bolt, but I made it fit my SCR leaving off the luggage rack, fitting the front support bolt onto the factory bolt opening (just above the rear shock) and drilling a 3/8” hole into the rear fender for the rear support. It IS possible to install the luggage rack also by sliding rack under the rear brake light/turn signal assembly; however, anything you might carry on the rack would then obscure the rear brake light & possibly the turn signals as well. The Bolt is a single seat bike; the SCR has a dual seat in the retro style. As I just wanted a backrest so that my girlfriend wouldn’t fly off the back of the bike this was the only solution I could find other than having a back rest custom made. I think the back rest improves the SCR’s appearance, and my girlfriend VERY happy I installed it.

Passenger is very comfortable.
My fiancé loves how relaxed she is now with the backrest. Easy to install. The back rack def comes in handy as well to unload the backpack.

Fits 2015 bolt.
Hardware is garbage and didn't come with the spacers, other than that it's decent.

Better off with OEM part, these crews that come with it aren't a good fit
Only thing good about this part is the look. However, the parts are loose, cheap materials and mainly screws are very long they will end up damaging your tires if installed, I had to go to a hardware store to buy new shorter screws also use locktite on the screws because will loosen up very often from the bike"s vibration.Trust me if you want to save your time and effort and not have to replace these often..just invest a little more and buy the OEM part from any yamaha dealer, and if not available they will order it for youOr a little google research can help too

Yamaha Bolt/ Backrest
(Assembly required) and some thread locker wouldn’t hurt. The finish wasn’t excellent but overall decent quality for price. YouTube tutorials will help you with the install. Instructions not included. 30-to 45 min job tops ,with the right equipment.
