There's a concentrated light source so you do have to be close to it for reading. The cord is decent length, but wished it was longer so it has a higher vantage point so the light can cover more ground. If you have an external battery you can just place it higher, but if you plan to place the light on your laptop it does not do much.It does not light up as bright as displayed in the stock photo in the ad (one in the car). I've included my own pictures for reference.It is mosquito repellent, but note that if you have other light sources around they may still be present. The product works great, but I wish the light wasn't on when you first plug it in. I use it in my car and I have to triple click it every time I turn the car on to shut light off. Other than that, works great.

Amazing product, I highly recommend it to friends and family members. I am planning to purchase more as a Christmas stuffer. I have been using it every time at work. Friends are envy, truly a show stopper. I just hope you can make one with the micro USB for android phones. Otherwise it's perfect.

The light works great but charging port isn't a normal usb and it doesn't fit my phone. I'm still happy with it as a light thou.

This light is very durable and not too bright for lighting up a keyboard. I've tried other laptop lights and they're too bright as in creating too much contrast to view the screen.

Waste of money. Be aware this cable makes an unbearable beeping noise when plugged. You'll see what I mean if you get it.

I bought this at a discount for an honest review. This is a nifty little gadget. I don't use if for my keyboard as it is backlit but I've found that it works great as a nightlight. It also has a couple of settings. In a pinch, it also works to charge your phone from the computer.

Working OK so far. It is not as bright as I expected but charging function is my major concern. And I can say I'm satisfied.
