I received this unit in January. The distance is great. When the dog visits the neighbors around the neighborhood (witch she shouldn't but sneaks off) I just hit the tone button and she returns. Sometimes that's pretty far 3 - 5 hundred feet. We also take her swimming quite a bit and the collar still works as it did out of the box.I would highly recommend!

Got it for my bluetick. She is 5 months old and was getting extremely hard headed. This thing is like a remote control for my dog. It beeps or buzzes and she stops barking. If she runs off in the woods I hit the shock once or twice and she comes running. The shock is not that powerful. Nothing like a stun gun, so it doesn't hurt her, smaller dog may require less but I had to turn it all the way up just to get my dogs attention. Otherwise she ignored it. But when she noticed it it worked immediately.

Mia responds with little excersie on the beeper, and vibrations. Have not had to utilize the shock selection. She has been in the open fields up to 300 yds and response with an athletic run back to me. Best I have owned over the years. Thanks.

This works like a charm. I used the sound only. Now all I have to do is show my dog the remote and he stops whatever he was doing.

The range is not what it is said to be. when I press the button the collar does not activate in all three settings. this is with a fully charge unit. If it does activate my pup runs the other way even if I'm calling. Not too happy with this investment.

Only issue is when i have to shock my dog he always lets out a little poo

Great product at a fair price, plastic collar could be better quality.
