Olasonic NANOCOMPO Nano UA-1 Integrated Amplifier with Built-in DAC

Perfect little dac/amp for the desk. A dac / headphone amp / small speaker amp in a small package with ability to switch and a remote control. It has one of the best TI's dac: PCM1792. Windows 7 recognized it immediately without any driver install. I am using it to listen to Tidal and it is powering a small 4" pair of Fostex full range speakers. The volumes can get very loud. I am also using a Schiit audio USB decrapifier for it's usb connection through a cheap office Dell. Bass boost is decent without distorting the sound too much. Headphone amp has ample amount of power - it drives my HD650's to ear shattering levels. One weakness is the power supply. For the amount of power this box uses (about 20 watts) it has the smallest switching power supply brick that I have seen. I guess the engineers were thinking more about portability than having a a higher grade power supply. I will soon be replacing it with a linear power supply. This is the ideal box to have for a desk setup / dorm that can drive some small/efficient speakers and headphones all in one in a very small package. There is a lot of high end technology in this little package and it can be heard. Build quality is excellent - the unit is solid but I would have preferred a sleeker and smaller remote. The remote looks a bit gaudy in comparison to the box itself which is sleek and gorgeous. I don't like to comment too much on the sound (it all depends on the individual, the source material, speakers, etc) but it is impressive and sounds what it should sound like at this price.Another thing to add: It is missing a dedicated line out!!Update: I replaced the switching power supply with an inexpensive Tekpower linear power supply. There was an improvement across the board especially the highs and impact.

Ridiculously clear and pleasant sound for ultra efficient horns. Easy to use , and my wife says why aren’t all the stereo’s this small. I love it!!!

Best sounding smallest unit ever. D2A converter is top quality, the best single feature of this amp. Line in sounds good, but not as good as D2A by a long shot. Somehow, mine was suddenly on sale for $260, down from $500 more, so I went for it, and happy I did. If I spot another bargain, I will bite again!

初めてアンプそのものを個別で取り付けて音を鳴らしてみました。PCをUSBでつないで使用しましたが音がクリアになったような印象です。今まではいいスピーカーにしないといい音が聴けないんだと思っていましたがそうでもないことがよくわかりました。この辺に詳しい父に聞いてみるとこのアンプは非常にいい部品で構成されているようですね。1月号のGetNaviという雑誌でもオススメ商品として記事になっていました。アンプの重要性を把握できたのでこれからいろんなスピーカーをつないで楽しんでいこうと思います。

アンプは大きい物という固定観念があったので筐体の小ささに驚きました。それでいて性能は必要十分で、私の様な素人レベルでしたら十分過ぎる程のクリアなサウンドを大音量で出してくれます。入門用としてはかなり良い物だと思いますが、その内これでは満足出来なくなり、段々良い物を欲しくなるという泥沼地獄に陥りそうで怖いです…。
