I bought this several weeks ago. I was searching for something unique and different that my wife would enjoy for her birthday. Besides, I figured what-the-heck, this is only 40 dollars compared to its original price of 200 and other competitor prices of 100-300. When my wife opened it she immediately rejected it. She said that we already had one. We do have one. We have an off brand that my In-Laws had gotten me for Christmas that was about as cheap as you can go ($10-15) for a Bluetooth portable speaker. Somehow, I convince my wife to keep it and see if she liked it. If not I would return it. I explained to her that it had better sound quality and would be well worth the purchase.She agreed. After unwrapping the gift it came in nice packaging similar to purchasing electronics such as a new apple iPhone etc. It came with a small instruction manual which I suggest keeping. For example, pressing down the power button and holding it down until it comes on for about 3 seconds it comes on. The sound of it coming on is like a sports car or motorcycle starting up (I'm not sure why they incorporated that within their design but it is a neat feature). To sync it you have to hold the power button down for 2 seconds and release. Then connect with it with whatever device that is Bluetooth compatible. Holding the power button down for another 3-4 seconds will turn it off. Quickly pressing the - or + symbol will skip to the next song on your playlist. Holding it down longer will adjust the volume. I highly suggest setting the volume to its max capacity on the iZOOM so that your iPhone or other device has more volume control.The feel of the rubber on the outside cover is nice and feels durable. I have not tested the IPX7 waterproof rating nor will I take the chance. I didn't purchase this product for that feature. It is true--this has amazing sound quality. Me and my wife use it by setting it in the middle of the room and dancing. Usually the max sound volume is too loud for one room but then again could be great for the party scene. The flap on the bottom that is more of a dust/water cover for where you charge the iZOOM seemed a little cheap because of the small amount of rubber holding the flap on. Then again, as long as it continues to do its job I am happy. It also comes with a handy clip at the top if you want to hang it from your backpack or from a centerpiece in your backyard instead of setting it down on a table. Due to its amazing sound quality and the loud volume at which it plays it has a very low battery life--well comparatively. The cheap knock-off that my In-Laws purchased for me has a battery life for playing music at its loudest for up to 4 hours. The iZOOM at max volume has a batter life up to 3 hours only. However, despite the small battery life, this product is really good for cookouts, swimming pool party's, house party's, and just the sound of your favorite music during a candle light dinner. After all, who really listens to music for three hours straight? If you are looking for a Bluetooth speaker that has great sound quality for all of life's fun, then this is the one for you. If you are looking for extended play of music (Ex. car mechanic) then you should definitely search for a different one.Overall, I am happy I made the purchase and it is very useful for what me and my family need it for. As for my wife and her original unhappiness...I'm still gaging her feelings but she does admit that the sound quality is amazing for the price it is being sold for.

This speaker is extremely durable and has a great sound--but it has one major drawback: it does not feature an au jack. As much as I like bluetooth connections, I still revert to the old-fashioned hard wire whenever I can, and I was under the impression that this speaker featured both. I was really disappointed to discover that there is no au jack whatsoever. Otherwise, though, this speaker is fantastic! It's a true steel for the price. I bought a few as spares to give away as gifts to friends and family--that's how much I like this speaker.

My wife uses this. I got it for her for christmas. She really likes it. It is loud but small and light. it lasts for about 3-4 hours per charge. It seems well built. It is easy to use and has decent range. I think she would get the same thing again if asked. I need to get something similar for out in the garage. We have only had it for about 9 months but it is still going.

It works well and connects easy, but really isn't loud enough for outdoor use in an area of any size. Also, the power button is large and unprotected on the side of the speaker so it turns on at random when carried around in my bag, making a really loud and startling (and unnecessary) VROOOOM sound everytime. I would have taken advantage of the return policy if the box hadn't been left out in the rain the first day we had it.

Had the speaker for 12 months.Very good sound for the money.Key issues: No light to indicate when on and on/off buttoneasy to turn on accidentally. No light to indicate when charging, when fully charged or current status. Battery life is less than 50% of what they claim if you get 2 hrs out of a full charge your lucky. More important, after fully charging, after a few days it's dead again.

Sounds good but not as good as I thought it would. Glad I got it on sale . I think I would of been disappointed if I would of paid full price .

Have not used it much but it does its job just fine. My grandkids like this kind of thing. And I like to see them get it going.

My 15 year old daughter loves it. Really good sound quality. Thinking about getting me one when the one that I have dies.
