I bought this to try and make boba in my instant pot - worked great. Used enough for one cup, added water, and 1 minute on high pressure. quick release, dunk in cold water - and they are EXACTLY like what you get at a restaurant or tea place. Very happy with this purchase.

I was so skeptical about making a purchase for boba online due to the fact I've tried many different boba shops around town and have found that not all boba is created equal 😐 but geez my boba addiction was costing me roughly 200$ a month yes I get a large milk tea over ice with boba twice a day 😳 So I needed to find something cost effective and fast , I just recently started having my boba with iced vanilla coffee and it's great .... This boba is defiantly ready in 5 minutes but I usually give it 7 , I soak it in a small bowl of honey for about 10 minutes and also I buy the already made iced coffee from Walmart , my only con is that the bag is somewhat small for my liking but overall it's a quick fix to feeding my craving and will defiantly repurchase

Disappointed!!I recieved this package today. The product is not what they have mentioned. It supposed to be 2 pack of Black Tapioca Pearl and that was the reason I made a purchase. But instead they have sent one pack of black tapioca pearl and other is color tapioca.**This product is not eligible for return**

I was so surprised how easy it was to make Boba at home! I literally boiled 1 cup of pearls in about 6 cups of water and they were done in 5 min! I let it cool, poured some syrup and mixed. Can't believe how cheap and easy it is to make it at home than spend $4 per beverage anywhere else. And it came with straws! Double score!

pros: these are just like the ones at the mall.They are easy to make just takes a few minutes (about 10)making your own tea is way cheaper then $6 a cup at the mall .Cons: once you make the pearls they need to be used right away I did not know this, I thought I could make them ahead of time and they would just be ready to use when i needed them. after making the pearls they only last a few hours (about 2) and they start to harden and are no good.If you follow the instructions on the bag you can make one and a half batches of pearls per bag. I used a measuring cup and I could make one and a half batches from one bag. The next time I went to make a batch there was not enough left in the bag to make a full batch like the instructions suggest. (keeping that in mind I will split the bag and follow the instructions in the future.)you get two bags meaning you can make 4 batchesI would say you can make about 4 to 5 servings from one batch- witch I think is great for your money But bad because I can't eat all that in 2 hours before it goes bad. So make sure your making it for friends too when you making you cup of tea or there will be a lot of waste.but after finding that out its all still good just wish I would've known before.

I'm SO happy I purchased these! I've been hooked on boba and buying drinks weekly can add up so I looked into the process of making it. Honestly boba drinks are easy to make BUT they are a process. Cooking the boba only takes about 10 mins top so that's not too bad. I personally just drink milk tea boba so making the tea and waiting for it to be chilled would be the longest process. Other than that I love it.Some people do suggest to add the syrup to make the boba sweeter but that's very optional. They first time I make the drink I added the syrup for the boba and I did like it. The second time I decided not to add it and honestly didn't notice any difference. So it's really up to you and how sweet you want your boba to be but it honestly doesn't need it.This was such a deal too because I got two bags of boba plus the boba straws. Definitely would recommend making this purchase!

The boba and straws came exactly as described. I have never made boba before so I was a little scared. I followed the directions which include boiling for 2-3 minutes then turning off the heat and letting them sit for another 2-3 minutes and then placing in cold water for 20 seconds. They weren't very sweet but I've heard of people using sugar water to hydrate them which I did not. The consistency was good and they were relatively easy to make.
