James Keiller Preserves, Ginger, 12-Ounce (Pack of 6)

Oh, thisi is one of my all-time favorites. I may be a ginger=holic, but I enjoy these preserves on just about everything, especially with my morning Greek yogurt and it is great on hot oatmeal for breakfast, as well as being a delicious condiment for all kinds of meats. And a real treat for me is to use it as a topping on vanilla ice cream. Yumm!. It has just enough tang and just enough sweetness to satisfy both tastes I make sure I am never without it, and thanks to Amazon, I never have to be.

It was very good jam. And, at $24 dollars for six 12 oz the price was good last year.This year the price is now $41. Too expensive.

Love these ginger preserves, wonderful full flavored taste, a bit of spicy tang and yet sweet. Very pleased with the seller. The preserves arrived well ahead of schedule, well packaged and at a very reasonable price compared to other sellers. Thanks.

I was a big consumer of ginger preserves 20 years ago, then we did a lot less of that sort of eating (and entertaining). Recently I decided I missed the ginger marmalade too much, and asked for a couple of kinds for my birthday to try out.I'm used to the old, taller, white (opaque) glass packaging.This version seems to be considerably less sharp than what I remember from long ago (but memory of tastes over long times, and changes to my own sensory equipment over decades, make that not really as objective as I prefer). It still has a *bit* of bite to it, and a definite ginger flavor, and it has more solid ginger than the Chivers did (and also tasted better).

I'm not a jam person but do love ginger and this is incredible on ice cream, in tea, on bread, whipped into whipping cream to make frosting for a cake or add some zip between layers. Absolutely YUMMY!

Arrived well packed. 3 stars because I'm not that enthused with the taste. I've had much more Gingery conserves than this. The taste is quite bland to my palate and way too sweet, more like something made for children than adults. The mouth feel is insipid with very little solid chunks of ginger - more a loose jelly consistency. Having said all of that... we do seem to be consuming it quite rapidly... Of course I should have tried this before buying obviously.. Must be confusing this with what I actually should have purchased - a strong Ginger Marmalade.. Now who knows where I can order some real standout ginger marmalade?

Had purchased this before. Tried another brand but it did not have the wuality of Dundee. At the time I purchased was a minimum quantity of 6. Would have purchased less but it was not available at the time.
