Not only was it pretty much immediately made illegal for competition
I wish I had not purchased this bridle. Not only was it pretty much immediately made illegal for competition, but the leather!! Wow, the leather sucks. Four of us in the barn have the same bridle, and only one of them feels like what you would expect to have paid for. And even then, it's still not as nice as other options in this price range. And the stretching... What crap leather do you have to use that people *expect* the cheek pieces and nose bands to stretch two whole inches? One woman has had to go from last hole to last hole. WHAT IS THAT?? The brow band is borderline too small for my very average beasts, but the cheek pieces and even the tiny little straps who's only job is to hold up the bit have stretched beyond fitting one, and likely another very soon. And to top it all off, the leather from the same bridle is not even consistent. One bit strap of mine is paper thin and floppy, the other rock hard and almost impossible to adjust. The noseband on mine feels like plastic, yet someone else has one that actually wraps around their horses face. And no, manufacturer, I am not unfamiliar with how to clean and condition leather, and have *professionally* dealt with everything from low to much higher quality than this. And the sizing throughout the bridle is just bizarre. Either the photos show mutant horses that fit these things, or all four of us managed to get the hodge podge batch despite ordering 2 months to several years apart. My horses all just squeeze into the headband, needed the cheek pieces almost as tight as they would go, the bit straps were WAY too short (the one benefit of the stretching, I guess), the strap around the jaw on the largest hole, and the noseband on the smallest. I am extremely disappointed in this product, and make sure that everyone who asks is aware. Rambo used to make some high quality stuff, but not anymore. The blankets went to pot long ago, and this bridle just continues the trend. Do not recommend.

this listing needs to be fixed
Only comes in black. Other buyers said it came with reins but mine did not. Does not come with the extra strength bitless option that other micklems do. Way overpriced. Returned it and bought a real one on ebay

Great bridle
Love this bridle. I had a little trouble getting it together at first. After the DVD, I got it put right.

Great Multipurpose Bridle--Use with, or Without Bit
The leather was stiff at first, but has now softened. After a couple of months or regular use, it now conforms nicely to the horse's head. In fact, my mare is much calmer when using it. We love it.

I like the bridle
I like the bridle, though the leather quality is questionable. The head-band is too big for my Arabian gelding and I'm not sur ewhat to do about that yet. I've used it as a bitless bridle and with the bit on him so far and both times he rode well. Overall a good bridle.
