SentrySafe Dark Gray Fireproof and Waterproof Safe with Key Lock, Chest Lock Box with Carrying Handle for Travel, 0.28 Cubic Feet, 6.6 x 15.4 x 14.3 Inches, CFW20201

I needed a safe solution to store my important documents and valuables, and the SentrySafe Fireproof and Waterproof Safe has proven to be the perfect choice. It offers just the right balance of security and portability, which makes it an ideal companion for both home and travel use. What I particularly appreciate about this safe is its robust fireproof and waterproof features. Knowing that my important items are protected from unexpected disasters gives me tremendous peace of mind. The fireproof capability, in particular, is reassuring, as it ensures that documents like passports and insurance papers are safeguarded even in extreme situations. The compact size is another highlight. At 0.28 cubic feet, it’s spacious enough to store essential items without taking up too much space. The carrying handle is sturdy, making it easy to move around when needed. I’ve used it during travels, and its portability combined with its solid construction makes it a convenient travel companion. One thing that might bother some users is the weight. While it’s reassuringly heavy, which adds to its security aspect, it can be a bit cumbersome if you need to move it frequently. However, for me, the weight is a testament to its build quality and durability. The key lock mechanism is simple and straightforward, providing an extra layer of security. It’s easy to use, and I haven’t encountered any issues with it so far. If I had to mention a slight drawback, it would be the absence of a digital lock option, which could offer more convenience. In summary, the SentrySafe Fireproof and Waterproof Safe has been a reliable solution for safeguarding my valuables. Its combination of fire and water protection, compact size, and portability makes it a worthy investment for anyone looking to secure their important items. Highly recommended for both home use and travel.

Very nice product although you may want to look at a safe with a larger interior space. But if this space suits your needs, this product seems solidly built and so far is very reliable.

After four years of use handle broke off completely as a security safe box supposedly fire proof handle made out of plastic could have just burned off if there was fire just nothing a design flaw.

Hopefully this is fireproof and will save everything if I even encounter a fire🥺. It came without locks but the company send me replacements since Amazon wouldn't. It doesn't hold as much as I'd like but that's because of the fireproofing materials. I'm counting on this to save my stuff if I can't grab it and get out in an emergency. I need another but can't afford 2 at this moment. It's good to know it's somewhat safe. Con: Anyone could walk off with it if they see it though. It's not very heavy at all. I'm old and can carry it. I'm not sure how sturdy the handle is. It seems to be some type of plastic. If so, it'll probably melt near extreme heat.

This is a tough, well-built safe. The cylindrical keys make lock-picking more challenging. For things you might otherwise use a safe deposit box at your bank (for a fee), this is the way to go. I would recommend this to anyone with such a need. The carrying handle seems a little less than the safe should have, but I don't intend to be carrying it around. It is heavy too.

Great small, portable safe. It’s waterproof and fireproof and has a handle for easy carrying. Great for your closet or under your desk for easy access. Great for important papers and items you need quick but safe access to. Great buy and great price.

Heavy, has a handle. Smooth opening & closing. I ordered one that wasn't portable but it had holes on side & bottom to mount. If not mounted, bugs, fire, water could get inside. It holds a bit less than I thought. Will work great for what my needs are.

I thought this was going to be an awesome fireproof box for storing discs and drives. It wasn't until I looked closer and realized that the ONLY thing holding this clamshell case closed, is a small catch latch made of thin plastic that is NOT protected from the heat of a fire. (See photos) The entire latching mechanism is outside of the fire protected compartment and will instantly melt....allowing the case to open during a fire. Even a small amount of heat will melt this cheap plastic latch. You would have to place the case in storage with a metal strap wrapped completely around it so it wouldn't open up during a fire. The only thing the key mechanism does to lock the case is that it spins a thin piece of steel against the plastic latch so the handle can't be pulled open, but could EASILY snap if you pulled hard enough. What a total disappointment. How in the world did they think this would stay closed in a fire?? :-(

Perfect ,strong and does what it says on the box

This Sentry Safe box It's a lot heavier than you might think - it has to be solid in order to create a seal in the event of a fire that will protect your documents for up to 1-hour at 1700 degrees F! If you are looking for a Fire Safe and Secure safe to prevent your valuables from being stolen it will cost a lot more... So to get a SAFE that is also Fireproof, look for features that the safe is UL Classified to endure 1 hour at 1700°F that will keep interior temperatures safe for irreplaceable documents and valuables...

First of all, I did not expect the size and weight of this thing! It’s huge!! And, it’s also pretty heavy. It’ll fit stuff nicely except one thing. You’ll need to fold an 8-1/2x11 sheet since it won’t sit properly, but other than that, so far no complaints. I used to have a small metal safety box, but it’s no where close to this. With this, I’d be confident my stuff is safe!
