Rain Forest Relay (Race the Wild #1) (1) Paperback – April 28, 2015

I read this and the 2nd book out loud to my two sons - ages 6.5 and 8. We loved these! They are a little similar to magic treehouse in feeling (global locations, focus on animals, etc.), but my boys loved the main characters and the plot, including the race, focus on adventure, clues and riddles. My younger son loves gathering animal facts, so the inserted pages about each animal are wonderful! I think this is planned to be a series of 3 books, but I really wish there were going to be more in the series. So far (as of June 2015), these books haven't shown up on the accelerated reader quiz list. Regardless whether they do create a quiz for AR, my sons will enjoy reading these books for themselves. I would say that my 8 year old, who just completed 2nd grade and is an advanced reader would have no problems reading these on his own.

I love this series and so do all of my students!! It is interactive, engaging and educational! A win, win, win!

We have really enjoyed this book and plan to continue to read the series. I read it to my five year old son and I think he will want to read it to himself in a few years. I like the creature feature facts and the story of adventure and teamwork.

We really enjoyed this book and will be reading more in the series. We read together every night still and it kept both a 10 and a 39 year old's interest!

You will love this book it is action packed and you can learn abut cool animals. So if you like adventure you will love this book.

My kindergartener/1st grader was captivated by all the books in this series. A fun adventure with interesting animals and habitat information sprinkled in.
