Echo Valley 4059 Three Ringed Gazing Globe Stand for 10"-12" Globes

I am so pleased with this purchase. I rely on reviews a lot but rarely write them, but this listing has such a terrible picture and no close up view, so thought I'd post some pics. This stand is very sturdy, a nice way to add some height to a bed and it will look even better once flowers grow up around it. Zero set-up and it was easy to sink feet a bit into ground with just a little pressure to stabilize it. A little more than other stands, but all the ones in the $20 range are much smaller. I have a 10 inch stainless steel gazing ball with no "neck" in it. It fits fine and I don't think it's going anywhere as its been rainy and windy since I put it up. I didn't do anything to affix it, just plopped it on there.Another reviewer noted that the paint has pinkish speckles in it and yes, they are there. Looks a little odd up very close but from about three feet away they blend in and make the metal look more natural and organic rather than jet black. Farther away from that you will never notice them. (I'm actually hoping this will rust a little, but if it doesn't, I'd be happy with the color as-is.)So the one closeup photo is from about a foot away, maybe a little less. The other two are 2-3 feet away, when the speckles start to disappear/blend (at least to my eye).

This is super. It looks rather majestic. It is heavy, looks very well made. It is tall too. I have quite the collection of gazing globes and bases, and this is much higher quality than I see in nurseries. It might tend to tip over as it is tall and narrow, BUT the feet can be pushed into the ground.

If you want a VERY tall gazing ball stand, this is the one. For me, it's a little too tall. I remedied it by shoving it down into the ground. It worked out well. I was worried it would blow over in strong winds, but with it buried a few inches, it hasn't fallen over, even during some strong storms, it is beautiful in appearance too. It is quite sturdy. If it was a few inches shorter, I'd of given it 5 stars.

I love the Echo Valley Globe Stand and have it in my yard awaiting the perfect gazing ball.I found the stand first and knew it was the perfect color and texture to highlight a gorgeous gazing ball in the garden. So much of the time, you will see a beautiful gazing ball on a nondescript stand, when it should be as unique as the ball itself, which this most definitely is!Love it and it shipped earlier than I expected!Helen Garvey

The rings are a little higher. The lines are not as straight. The color is awful (black with brown mud specs). Hopefully it will rust. As is, it has the appearance of a $20 big box item and not a handmade piece of garden art. There are some other customer photos that show the difference.

Let me start by saying I do like the product, but there were a few problems. The first was that it came damaged, one of the top welds was broken. Instead of dealing with re-packaging and sending back, I had my dad re-weld the part. I may regret this in the future, but we will see. The other inconsictnecy is that it is supposed to be a natural metal that will rust and age. Ours came painted in a faux finish brownish paint, not like the picture shows in the picture. The last thing is that it is very tall with a narrow base, it is stable but wouldn't take much to bump it and knock it over or a mild earthquake (California) to send it on its side. Otherwise, it's and attractive piece.

This gazing ball stand is exactly as it looks in the photo. Works fine, but it sinks into a soft surface.

I am quite pleased with the quality of this item and the way it looks in my garden. Great height that is hard to find.
