This book is so amazing. I already have some java knowledge
This book is so amazing. I already have some java knowledge, but when I read this book it gave me more. This is a book for beginners, and for experts. Also it is a good reference book so if you forgot how to do something you can look back. Overall this book has no problems and really teaches you in depth.Thank you Kishori for writing this book.

An extremely useful book.
This book was surprisingly good. It provides clear explanations and examples of all the main features to serve as a tutorial or a refresher. I used it as a refresher on REGEX handling in Java. The book has an effective way of communicating otherwise obtuse subject matter.

I like the way this guy writes
I like the way this guy writes. I'm not sure if American English is his first language, and maybe that's why I like it. If I pursue Java, I will buy more books by this author.

Not a 5 five star Java beginner guide
Amount of examples are not enough. No exercises for to you practice. Too many wordings. Some of them will not be ask in your Java examination.

Outstanding books on Java 8
Mr. Sharan has done an outstanding job in his set of books on Java 8. The books are mostly based on the equally superb job that he did on Java 7, which he self-published in 3 volumes. I have reviewed some of the Java 8 texts, but have reviewed much more fully the earlier books on Java 7, which I bought a few years ago.The best books on Java that I have read are probably the two volumes written by Cay Horstmann and Gary Connell, but Mr. Sharan's books are very close to those in quality. I find it remarkable that Mr. Sharan has been able to hold regular Java-based software development jobs while producing these books. There are of course many other excellent books that provide an introduction to Java, not to mentioned the scores of equally good books on individual aspects of Java. All texts published by the major technical publishers: Apress, Packt, O'Reilly, Manning, tend to be excellent, although there is some variation needless to say. Other publishers, such as Prentice-Hall and Addison-Wesley. produce specialty series that have many excellent text.

Very helpfull for beginners!
I want to thank the author and write a quick review for fellow readers. This book is very helpful for a beginner like me who had no knowledge of programming. It is easy to read with a bunch of examples and loaded with information. I bought it strictly off the reviews and I am very happy with my purchase. Apart from Java, the book provides a thorough background of programming. Great book and was definitely worth to add to my collection.
