New Zealand Rewarewa Honey, 1kg (35oz)

A friend went to New Zealand and brought me back a box of honey samples. All delicious, but this one stood out. I followed up by buying this brand of rewarewa honey, and the sample was no fluke. While honey can seem cloyingly sweet, this one has so much character that its scent and flavor make it seem like a gourmet candy. It's richly flowery, but with a spicy caramel undertone and a touch of citrus-y brightness.When I hit the late afternoon blahs and wish I had some candy in the house, just a smidge on the end of a teaspoon takes care of me. When I stir a little in my tea or coffee, it adds a bright, cheery note to the flavor. As I'm getting to to the end of this jar, it's crystalizing to a dense, creamy consistecy -- proof that this is pure honey.If you're a honey collector, you owe it to yourselfr to try rewarewa. There's nothing else like it, and it's gorgeous.

This Rewarewa honey has the classic New Zealand taste, full bodied, slightly earthy, and not too sweet. The wide mouth jar makes its easy to use. It is also moderately priced compared to other better-known Rewarewa brands. Highly recommended.

Rewarewa honey is always delightful. Its taste profile is a little bit different from traditional honeys, but I find has a unique depth of character.

Some of the BEST honey I have had. Seems like if you like honey New Zealand is the place to be.

£18.99 in November 2015 now March 2016 price has jumped to £27.99 per kg, the honey is excellent but 50 % rise in 5 months is taking the p***. needless to say. no buy.

Il miele è ottimo lo uso tutti i giorni nel thè, tisane e latte. E' cremoso, denso e ha un color nocciola intenso, forse il sapore non corrisponde esattamente al gusto del miele millefiori che compriamo di solito, è molto intenso e molto gradevole al palato. Consiglio vivamente per me è ottimo!!
