Great veggie protein source
As a lifelong vegetarian, this is my go-to protein for numerous sandwiches, grain bowls, stir fry, etc. This is the best Seitan I've found that is widely available, and one of the best "meaty" protein sources I've come across in general. Like most groceries, you should cook it before complaining about it in a review.I fry it up with broccoli, soy sauce, hoisin, and Lao Gan Ma for a tasty, high protein meal. I'll also cook it in BBQ sauce for "pulled pork" or "cheezesteak" sandwiches. It's also good with taco seasoning, and I also use it with mushrooms for mole tacos and in "steak and egg" burritos.I noticed some reviews complaining that it tastes bad on its own. First of all, I disagree: it's not bad, merely boring on its own Also, you wouldn't shove raw beef into your face, so why would you not prepare this before eating it?Compared to tofu, its "gamy" texture is much more satisfying and it doesn't require oil to achieve. It's also 75% protein by Calorie before cooking, compared to ~50% for tofu. Add a little umami seasoning and throw in some mushrooms and it'll be quite hearty.

Good stuff
Works well with broccoli - rice and tamari sauce

Easy filler for a dish
Not for the gluten averse, obviously, but a good way to add some filler to a dish. Can be a bit rubbery, so cut/slice thinly. Taste is mild, so will work with most anything you make

Love this
I love this seitan. I especially love thatb it's already in small pieces so I don't have to cut it. I usually make tacos with it and they're delicious

Just alright
Decent meat replacement, still kind of had a dog food sort of taste. Not the tastiest seitan I've ever eaten by far

Flavor is what you make it!
These traditional strips are great because they take on flavor easily. I can use them for anything from tacos to stir fry's. I occasionally ground them up and use in spaghetti sauce if I’m out of crumbles.

Great texture and easy to cook.
This is my go-to for quick meals. I make broccoli and rice and cook this imitation meat with some sesame oil and soy sauce. Tasty and super easy to make.I love the texture of it, it makes me feel like I’m eating beef, but with no guilt. The pack is enough to last one person for about three meals.

Do you remember VEAT?
I really like this product…it reminds me of Veat (for you old vegetarians)…It takes any flavor that you add nicely. I use it for tacos more than anything but it is versatile.(I wish I could get a “chicken”/lighter color product to make for friends bcs this ((thankfully)) doesn’t taste like beef to me but a seasoned “chicken” color seitan could fool my meat eating friends.
