UPDATE: I did reach out to the seller who offered to replace the item. I requested a refund instead and they honored my request without making me send it back. After a few emails I received the refund and am grateful. B/c of the great customer service I have updated my rating to a 4 from a 1, b/c customer service these days really counts for a lot. Hopefully, the issue with the plastic cracking and breaking for me was a fluke.First review: I'm hoping to reach the seller and get a refund. If so I will update. Photo attached. Very disappointed. At first it seemed nice. I love the size and organization of the compartments. It was easy to open and I was satisfied, at first. TWO weeks later the plastic around the latch completely broke. I'm shocked as I never put this in the dishwasher, even though I think you can but I wanted it to last. I only ever hand washed it. It didn't last 15 uses. I hope I get a refund.

(1)The two crucial clips that seal the box closed pop off daily.(2)The rubber seal that theoretically should make it leak proof does not seal very well or consistently. It has to be pressed very hard which a kid won’t do AND even then it doesnt really stay sealed...will pop up right away.(3) And the first time it was dropped onto the floor from a 4 foot height, BOTH cheap plastic hinges shattered off. It is waaaaaay too fragile for the purpose it is intended.(4) the tray does not detach for washing(5) the lid that covered the foam insulation is not attached well so when you wash it, it get water INSIDE the lunchbox lid insulated area. (Curious how much mold is growing in there)(6) We only handwashed and didnt even get a chance to take it to school more than 2-3 times so it had very little use.I do not at all recommend this product. I love the idea of it but the finished product was very disappointing. It didn’t work as advertised and was so fragile it broke the first time we dropped it.We were given another one instead of a refund and it too shattered the FIRST day of school. The plastic is brittle. This time it wasn't even dropped. It pulled apart in my 7 years olds hand.

Loved this bento box for our young son - it is solid, portion sizes are good, easy to clean, and it was leakproof... until the latches broke off after a few weeks of infrequent (3x/week) use. First it was just one, and I wrote it off to carelessly opening the box too quickly, and was able to get the latch to snap back into place. No big deal. But it kept happening every time we opened it, regardless of how careful we were, and then the other latch broke too. You don’t need a lot of force to open/close this box, and it’s not leakproof without the latches securing the lid in place over the portions, so this design flaw basically soured me on the whole thing. Right now we just tie it with rope so it stays to together since I don’t want to risk buying another one. But I’m annoyed at the expense of something that seemed so great at first and had now proven to be a hassle.

I looked around for many of these and unfortunately these types of containers are usually more expensive. I really liked the portion compartments as I was able to give my son a variety of snacks. It does not leak and I love that it came with the insulated lunch bag but unfortunately it cracked a bit after only a week of using it. This was while my son was at daycare so not sure exactly how it happened, he just said it was hard to close and it cracked :/ we were able to still use it after that but we weren’t able to put any more use to it as schools were canceled.

I really like getting creative to make my daughter healthy and colorful meals! This has big enough places I can put her sandwich, some fruit, a veggie a side and a little dessert. It is pleasing to her eyes which makes her want to eat the healthy stuff too! I haven't put pure liquid in it yet, but it has had yogurt and applesauce in it and neither has leaked. It keeps her food cold (haven't tried hot yet) all day at school so she can eat leftovers for snack after school without worry.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Something simple and well made. I bought this for my 10 years old son. He wanted something simple and easy carrying on. I ordered the blue, I like the color very much. There is a place on the side for a spoon-fork inside. And a cover with rubber make the lunchbox exactly sealed well, I have taken a test, there is no any leaking. the zipper is a good one, doesn't get stuck like many others he's had over the years. It will hold a sandwich inside a Tupperware, a piece of fruit and some sort of treat like a cupcake or Twinkie with room for more! This would work for anyone either student or adults. Highly recommend!

Loved this product for my 7 year old- having the one container, as opposed to several smaller Tupperwares or plastic bags, was hugely helpful for her organization and my time doing dishes. We haven't had any issues with leaking across containers and the fact that it's both dish-washable and microwaveable is awesome. She's also easily able to see the entirety of her lunch and can then more readily make healthy choices about making sure she has enough time to eat the healthiest parts of her lunch.The one downside we found when my husband packed it for his work lunch - he wasn't able to microwave a specific piece of his lunch (without dirtying another dish or using a paper plate) - so the individualized containers in some Bento boxes would have been preferable for his lunches.For kids though - this product is a win and we'd definitely recommend it!

I'm a momma on the go and couldn't be happier with this bento box. It makes life so much easier! We often go to Disneyland and Children's museum's and I always carry a diaper bag and a large lunch bag with zip lock bags with snacks. This bento box makes it so easy to throw all snacks in the box and the insulated bag is perfect to carry alone of throw in the diaper bag without being too bulky. This is seriously a life saver and a necessity for anyone with a toddler. I searched Amazon and other sites for weeks and this one is perfect for the price and the fact it comes with the insulated carrying case.

This lunchbox is good. I like that it comes with an inner lid so that it is easier/cleaner to manage. Would recommend.
