I definitely do not recommend item. **Q: Does the water bottle bounce & sling around when walking?** A: Depends on how you attach it to your body. If you use as a shoulder carrier yes. If you use as a waist carrier no it does not. Looked everywhere for a replacement and was thrilled to find it here! It is exactly like the one I had. I go no where without my water bottle and this is the perfect low cost hands free solution for water bottle carriage in every situation.I am adding to my review since I have ordered more of these bottle carriers. Those of you having trouble and claiming design flaw on bottom strap may not be using it right.When your Coghlan's bottle carrier arrives, it is wrapped up into itself and kind of confusing, but look at the picture on the packaging, be patient, get the strap COMPLETELY unfolded. Then pull apart the velcro strap, one at a time, resizing as you go to fit your bottle. The straps are a bit stiff and want to fold back into place, so one at a time is the only way. After the straps are the correct length, then strap in your bottle, lay your bottle holder on a table or other flat clean surface, lay your bottle in place on the bottle holder then open one starp, pull it around your bottle and tighten it down, reattach vecro. When you are done, you will have a loop of extra strapping at the bottom: This is the bottom strap! Pull it by an attached edge so that it crosses the bottom of your bottle. Boom! Your bottle is secure!The strap is long enough to fit cross body style and still short enough to hang from one shoulder if you prefere. The design is just right so that if you need the bottle out of your way, you can drop it behind you and it will ride there without slipping forward if you bend over. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect! *by J***N on June 13, 2015* I bought this item for my 5 year old to use on summer school field trips. He's required to bring and carry a water bottle around, and I thought this would make it easier for him. I attached it to a camelback performance bottle, and it was easy to put on, tighten and adjust the shoulder strap. The strap is quite long and would work well for an adult, and adjusts for a very small child easily. (I trimmed off the excess length just so it wouldn't be flapping around, and burned the end to prevent fraying.)He can easily put the strap on cross-body style, and drink from his bottle while wearing it. The bottle seems very secure.I'm happy with this item, and very happy with the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap & Effective: Fits a 1L Nathan Big Shot well *by A***7 on March 1, 2016* This is about as basic as you can get in a bottle carrier. I initially ordered this product, as well as the Onoola 40oz Pocket Carrier, for an old Stanley N944 thermos that I wanted to take with on trips. However, though it held, it was slightly short and the weight of the other half made a slight weight displacement when hanging from my side.However, I did find that it fit my Nathan Big Shot 1-Liter Bottle quite well, as you can see it ties it down evenly. The straps were just your basic nylon (like the Onoola) but had more rigidity; so for short trips this would be fine. However, if used on a longer hike, I would suggest slipping on some padded strap to save the shoulders from being cut into. Also, I felt readjusting the straps were kind of a hassle.
