Dick: A Card Game Based on The Novel by Herman Melville

One of you will likely be the literary nerd who acquires this game, but everybody around the table will be able to appreciate how quickly these jokes get either thoughtful or terrible. Be prepared for many jokes about sperm.

Christmas present for my brother in law. I had to get a new one sent to me because the previous one was damaged. The exchange went well and he likes the game!

I was introduced to this game at a party, immediately bought my own set, and have in turn introduced other friends to the wonders of it who also know own their own sets. We have played it multiple times and still seem to discover new, ridiculous cards every time. I have had people laugh so hard they've cried during games. It's a wonderful, irreverent, hilarious game! I find it falls in this perfect space for our game nights - some find Apples to Apples too "kiddy" but there are those who lean away from Cards Against Humanity's reputation for lewdness. I think with this game, you can justify it by saying, "Well, it's taken verbatim from Moby Dick," so you know it's "high literature," which somehow makes the innuendo more acceptable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ All I know is, I love this game, and it's one of the first I reach for when we have game nights with friends!One star off only for the quality of the cards - they're just unlaminated cardstock, which makes me worried that it'll be easy to get them dirty or bent. I would love a version with nicer quality cards since we use this game so much.I second the other reviewers who suggest expansion packs - it'd be fun to have another classic book in the mix!This is definitely NOT a kid friendly game or for people who take themselves too seriously.

I got this after playing it at a party. It's novel, but in the end, not my favorite game to play in a group.

Oh. My. Goodness. This game is awesome! I love it, my friends love it, and it has made for some damn good game nights. Can I just suggest one thing, though? What about an expansion pack, with more crazy lines from other books, too? We always seem to run out of white cards rather fast.

I bought this game mostly as a gag gift, but I don't think I've ever laughed as hard in my life. My one complaint is the quality of the cardstock - it doesn't seem made to last.

This game is essentially Cards Against Humanity only with excerpts from Moby Dick and a lot more "seamen" and "dick" jokes. Even if you're not a literary buff, you'll definitely enjoy this game.

For anyone who loves words and books, Dick the Game is a hilarious romp through language and pop culture, providing hearty laughs and hours of fun. Well done, Dick!
