This was a GRRRRRREEAAATTTT purchase! ConFunkShun was an under-appreciated Funk-Soul group back in the day and these two LPs were a great example of how good they were. There's great uptempo & slow jams on these albums. The "Con Funk Shun" album was hot on the college scene back in the mid 70s that got you out on the dance floor to either sweat & shrink your afro or give a chance to get close enough to that honey to cop that number. This was a worthy investment. "Nuff Said!"

I have ALWAYS LOVED CON FUNC SHUN from the moment of their release especially, when Skip Scarborough help guide them with his musical genius.

This is a great combo. From Sho feels good to me (a shake it down to the ground groove) to Shake and dance with me. These songs on both cds are dance and romance. My daughter who is 24 loves Ffun. These hits do transcend from kids to older people.

IT'S ABOUT FRICKIN TIME THEY START RELEASING CON FUNK SHUN'S STUFF ON CD. A EXCELLENT WAY TO START OFF WITH THE FIRST ALBUMS, ''CON-FUNK-SHUN'' AND ''SECRETS''. BONAFIDE FUNK CLASSICS AT A EXCELLENT PRICE.

It's about time that this band got their dues and about time that all their back catalogue was remastered and rereleased. This was one band that seemed overshadowded by the likes of EWF and Kool & The Gang but these guys can hold their heads high as they are just as good (if not better imo). This is the first release in a set that covers their entire Mercury label releases and it is a cracker. If you are still sitting when the likes of Confunkshunize Ya and Funn come on then check your pulse, you dead!!!If you enjoy 70s and 80s big bassy horn driven funk, go get all these releases and have some Funn.

Je suis fortement décu par le contenu de ce double album en 1! Beaucoup trop de slow à mon goût! Et des slows de mièvre qualités en plus! Ca bouge très peu sur l'ensemble des 19 titres!!! Pour un article classé dans le funk ca le fait pas trop! A noter 2 morceaux qui se détachent du lot et rien d'autres!!!C'est un cd qui va finir au fond d'un tiroir!! Trop mou en résumé pour du funk! On dansera jamais sur ces titres là!!

I have wanted Confunkshun's first album on cd for years- at a reasonable price!! So, when I saw this double album on one cd was coming out ( although I already had ''Secrets'' in my collection for years) I pre-ordered immediately. I'm am so happy with this cd, having the first album sound so clear and crisp is a delight, and it makes ''Secrets'' sound even better than before. My cd case was cracked on arrival, but I quickly replaced it and got on with the FUNK!!!
