Just Like Sugar 1 Lb Tabletop

I bought this because the author of Paleo Desserts uses it extensively. My husband doesn't mind it - I experience a bad aftertaste like most artificial sweeteners I have used (and stopped using) in the past. If the recipe doesn't call for too much it's ok. This product is going to be akin to broccoli - you either have the taste buds for it or you don't.

I have been increasingly pleased with this product. I use it more and more in my baking and in tea, etc. It is more expensive and I'm hoping its price will come down as demand increases. That is my main complaint with the product. I made a gluten free sugar free (used this product) pie over Thanksgiving that was quite the hit.

This is not a good substitute for sugar. You can't use it in hot drinks or iced ones, as it solidifies into an opaque, glue-like substance. It is somewhat sweet--not as sweet as, say, sucralose ("Splenda", "Apriva" brands). It is comprised mostly of chicory root and orange and although it lacks the chemical aftertaste of sucralose, it does have a decidedly orange finish. I didn't even try baking with it after seeing what happened in all but a room temperature medium. We haven't yet found the great sugar substitute!

It actually tastes like sugar (at least I think so).The price is too high if I should use it for baking - it would cost more than the sum of all other ingredients.

Tastes just like sugar??.. umm NO! More like a mouthful of some kind of gross sweet chemicals. I was so excited to get this sugar and try it out. Wow, I couldn't be more dissapointed. What a waste of money ingreedients and time. Buyer beware!

Just Like Sugar is by far the very best non-caloric sweetener out there. It's a huge surprise then, that it's also the healthiest.If you're currently eating sugar, you may try this and think it's a lot like sugar. If you're currently eating non-caloric sweeteners and NOT eating sugar, and you try this, you will it's AMAZINGLY like sugar.This is so good that you can actually sprinkle it on food (like on a crepe) and eat it straight; you get both the taste and texture of sugar.

Purchased Just Like Sugar as a cookbook requried it for a recipe ... way too sweet and ridiculously expensive. 5 lbs and over $20! Yikes!!!

I really like the taste, it doesn't have any aftertaste and does taste like sugar. I only wish it were cheaper, if it were, I would buy it all the time. I currently use Splenda and Stevia and will stick with them mostly unless/until the price decreases. I would recommend this product with the note that it is expensive. Thanks.
